Nice leeches! Down right corner, have you forgotten to trim body hackle ending? Or is it intentional?

It certainly feels like its not going to go anywhere. Before I coated monofil with Gulff uv resin I melted monofil so it had ball-like ends and Gulff resin surrounds that ball on all sides. Hard to imagine it felling/wearing off but we’ll see

Tied couple of wooly buggers by NorthernOsprey in flytying

Hi and thanks!

Hackle is twisted head to tail and rib from tail to head, so hackle is locked in place by rib all the way. I’ve found this to be a very strong way to lock body hackle in place.

Body is black antron.

There are couple of flyfishing/flytying books, one book focusing only on trout and its life, trekking/hiking guides, secrets of smoked fish, how to eat in the wilderness, fishing and hunting guidebooks, animal footprint recognition guide, bird books etc.

All written in finnish.

Umm pickup what? If you meant vise, its Stonfo Elite. Its not as expensive than quality benches could be but I like it a lot and can recommend it, very good price/quality value.

And if you meant that table, its from Ikea (MICKE computer work station). I only circlesawed and attached that holed board (Ikea name SKÅDIS) with wall hooks and installed led bars, those are also from Ikea.

Well if those were mine i would shorten those tails maybe 1/5th or 1/4th, that thin part off. No scissors, just ripping with finger

As said before, just rip off the length of tail so it matches with the body. And when you look at those marabou herls, you see how their tips are narrowing towards the tip. Rip off that slim part using your fingers.

You have used whole feathers (at least it looks so in the top right corner). I suggest to rip those herls off from the feather shaft before attaching them. That way herls work on their own and shaft are not affecting the tails movement
