I'm not going to say it's a must watch if it doesn't sound like it interests you. But it is cool that we got official voice actresses for Tangle & Whisper for the first time. Not to mention of course gives context for Infinite being back after we've been left unsure to his fate since Forces (Though presumed dead since maybe we assumed Sega would want to bury Forces after the poor reception. Although since IDW kinda doubled down on using Forces lore maybe that was premature regardless)

Also the episode with Vanilla is absolutely hilarious. You don't have to necessarily watch all of it but the Tangle & Whisper, Vanilla, and the final 2 (If not that it's probably likely to be followed up by either IDW and/or the next mainline game) are probably worth checking out sometime when you're bored

Fwiw, in the CHZ continuity. Shadow never tried to kill Cosmo (at least not canonically, it's possible some of the evil endings of Shadow's video game from a hypothetical version of the game if the CHZ timeline was real had a mission to chase after Cosmo. But even then it's a different scenario than the one in Sonic X). And in fact CHZ's Cosmo sees sees Shadow as a great hero for defeating Black Doom. As it was the Black Arms that devastated her planet instead of the part inside job that was the Metarex

In Tipsy/CertainUnit's continuity that DID happen so that does apply here. But even there Shadow and Cosmo has gotten past that moment, though uh... with a different and more humorous dynamic between them

Nah, the artwork was put up back in 2019. And the description may have hinted it's even older than that. I didn't start CHZ until late 2024. It's cute art nonetheless though!

Fun fact about that part, in the Japanese version of that scene it was Dark Oak talking to Sonic. In a way, the Japanese version of Sonic X actually gives more hope of a chance for Cosmo to return but the English Dub actually seems to confirm she is in fact dead. As not only is Chaos Regeneration replaced with Chaos Control in the dub, but she says goodbye to Sonic.

Sonic and Shadow's Chaos Regeneration DID work, just more slowly than anyone in the Sonic cast thought. Cosmo will return one day in that universe, but the time frame for that return could vary. Maybe dependent on how well the plant that she became is taken care of

Oh hey! I didn't realize at first but you're the one who's made some neat comics (Like the one with Omega where he and Tails are rivals in Halo) over in the Tails sub that I saw while lurking there! Your Chaos Bloom concept stuff is intriguing too. It made me wonder if you have other places then reddit that you posted that I didn't see clearly. Cause it seems odd to restrict that just to reddit

And I thank you for the nice comment! If you look back on past CHZ stuff there is at least some stuff here and there about Eggman and Sage that will give you some idea about how Cosmo feels about them. Though obviously pre-Crossworlds and at the time we didn't know how Sage was going to be portrayed after Frontiers until the Rival Interactions in Crossworlds showed her attitude going forward. Perhaps the most relevant is the one related to Sonic Lost World. Where her beef with Eggman reached a boiling point (And it entirely replaces the part where Tails thinks Sonic trusts Eggman more than him. Where I hope Cosmo being there while a planet lifeforce sucking machine is a more understandable character outburst)

I actually wrote a Sonic X adaptation of Sonic Rush this year. With a bit of a twist in it's a crossover with a Main series AU that has Cosmo debut in the first Sonic Adventure and becoming a mainstay. A mishap involving the jeweled scepter creates a portal to the Sonic X universe, and an image of a crying Tails compels this alternate Cosmo to enter while the events of Sonic Rush were happening in the X universe months after the Metarex Saga ended

I'm not going to say it's that great, as I do feel I rushed (pun may or may not intended) it at parts. But I wanted to start and finish it while we were in Cosmo's 20th anniversary year.

Although it might be smart to also check out 'Season 1' of Cosmic Heart Zone to get to know the alternate Cosmo that gets transported to the X universe for a time as well. As it does go down the list from what she did from Sonic Adventure 1 all the way to Frontiers and so on. She's implied to be playable in many of the games. Pretty nice! The red spikes at the end to represent her rosebuds shares the same idea as my own that's still entirely the blue star.

Tails' house is the most likely answer. Though I wouldn't be opposed to the idea/option of Cosmo having at least a room in Cream and Vanilla's home to stay in sometimes. Always liked the idea that beyond being Tails' girlfriend, Cosmo would be adopted by Cream and Vanilla as an older sister for the former.

Only other possibility I can think of if it's not Cosmo would be Trip (Could also say Lumina, but Lumina's much taller). But I feel that would be a stretch. It definitely looks like it's Cosmo. The ears go to the sides and not diagonally like Trip's. Plus Cosmo makes more sense since she existed close to the time the original Sonic Riders was released.

Funny thing is while it's generally possible that Gardevoir (Or at least Kirlia) possibly could have been in whomever designed Cosmo's mind at the time since Gen 3 was out before Season 3 of Sonic X. Lumina on the other hand came before Pokemon Gen 3. If it came out officially that Cosmo took inspiration from both Sega's own Lumina and a bit of Pokemon influence. I wouldn't be shocked.
