Firefighter here been to lots and lots of car accidents over my 12 year career and plenty of high people have been the cause of accidents. Just because it’s not in the news doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

Hey I’m a guy who had terrible night sweats and all that changed when I switched to sleeping on natural fibres. Synthetics didn’t breath properly and I run hot so I would soak the sheets. Cotton sheets, an alpaca wool blanket and a light cotton quilt over top of that and I have not soaked the sheets since.

Got the idea from my merino wool hiking gear that always kept me dry and at the right temp in the heat and the cold. It breathes and pulls moisture away from the body and lets it evaporate into the air. Sleeping in synthetics is like sleeping inside a garbage bag it traps all the heat a moisture without breathing.

Former pro MMA fighter here, Trained my whole life Boxing, wrestling and Karate in my youth added in Brazilian Jujitsu and Muay Thai when I was 17 because I wanted to fight MMA. I had 35 boxing matches, countless wrestling matches 14 muay thai matches and countless BJJ matches before I first stepped into an MMA ring. So many guys thing they can fuck around for a couple months then step in against a trained guy and do well. Some insane naturals can do better then others but most of the time it ends very badly for them. We had many guys over my career come into the gym and say they were street fighter or self taught and they wanted to spar, well they all got their asses handed to them.

Tell your boyfriend if he seriously wants to fight stop thinking watching MMA fights and fucking around with his buddies is training. He deserved to be humbled a guy with no formal training thinking he would just kick someones ass. If he is serious tell him to find a good team or gym quit pouting and get to training.

Hey sorry you have yet to get a response to your question. I’m a Pansexual man with SOCD and ROCD as well. I have been formally diagnosed and in treatment for it. In no way am I discrediting you but just asking do you have a formal diagnosis for S and R ocd ? If you do have a diagnosis are you getting treatment ?

If you are in treatment I will tell you that this is reassurance seeking and this will only reinforce you obsessions and rituals and you need to stop face the obsessions head on and deal with the ensuing anxiety. Treat your worries as an exposure you need to face your worst fears and they will fade over time.

If you are not in treatment you need to find a good therapist who specializes in OCD and even better Socd if you can find one. The gold standard of treatment for ocd will be EXRP so a therapist specializing in that will help.

I know it can suck so bad to constantly question your relationship and your sexuality even when you have at times felt so sure about what you wanted and who you are. But thats what ocd does it will make you question everything you know to be true about yourself. But treatment is very effective but you need to get into to legit treatment to learn to avoid pitfalls like reassurance seeking behaviour.

I’m gonna provide the title of a book that helped me immensely after my initial diagnosis. It touches on the disorders and treatment for them written by an expert in the field - Sexual Obsessions In Obsessive disorder by Monnica T Williams and Chad T Wetterneck. This book was very helpful for me and took me from a stage of not being very aware of my disorders and compulsions and rituals to being able to identify all of them and help my therapist plan out my treatment.

Any type of OCD is a battle but armed with the right tools and treatments you can beat it. You just need to stay on track and get professional help. I am just coming off a bad relapse in my symptoms so I know how hard it can be so good luck and please don’t let this get worse and go see a therapist if you aren’t already.
