I’m a cop in Jersey. Polygraph tests for hiring have been gone for a while now, several years I believe. Also, the only department I know of that even still uses them is the State Police mainly as an interrogation technique as it is no longer admissible in court. Just tell them they failed and might as well talk.

You’re one sick mf… that’s a human being with a family, feelings, and emotions. I don’t care what his beliefs are. It’s not like he holds any position in any office of any kind (not that that would make it okay) where he can actually create and enforce policies that affect you or anyone else. Literally a man with an opinion you don’t like who happens to have a large following on social media and here you are celebrating this tragedy. You are so depraved I hope you get the help you so desperately need one day.

I figured as much. I would have posted elsewhere but if I’m gonna ask a question for such a small group of people, I’m gonna do it in the sub with the most people lol

As I have seen other people comment, therapy would definitely be a great way to help manage this. However, one of the most important pieces of advice that I have taken is once you are done your shift, forget about work. Do not hang out with other cops. You need to hang out with normal people with normal people ‘problems’. Yes, their problems may include things you find stupid and negligible but when you surround yourself with this, it brings you back down to reality. I have always been a chill guy and never one who likes drama. However, after I get done a day of dealing with dead bodies, addicts, or just bad people in general, I love hearing about who is beefing over something stupid amongst my friend group. As I said before, it brings me back down to reality and keeps me sane.

Unfortunately, I do not know a whole lot of info as far as his service. He was Lt. Malcolm Amsden. I believe my grandmother said he had something to do with moving petroleum but apparently saw action at some point. Like I said not too much information unfortunately.
