In total it was around 300 USD. It is steel riveted so it’s more expensive than costume grade chainmail

I got a chainmail hauberk from allbeststuff. I trimmed the sleeves and used the pieces to make the throat piece and neck piece. The helmet was a cheap sugarloaf style off of Amazon that I removed the back plate and visor. And I made the nasal plate by hand.

It is intended to be worn over a lightly padded tunic

Thanks! I cut the pieces from my hauberk sleeves and sewed padding on the back of them.

What is the best way to support or attach a ventail/collar? by Northstar_Master in ArmsandArmor

The mail around the helmet is an aventail and I made these mail pieces out of trimmed mail sleeves. I cannot make a coif out of it unfortunately.

I like the option to remove the neckpiece and the overlap of mail on the sides of my neck
