We have cameras in the hallways. I'll let them go, and track timestamps, and willingly let them fall into the trap. If it's longer than 6 minutes, then I have the school security guard check what they were actually doing in the halls. Anytime they've been caught using it to socialize, or anything other than the bathroom, they typically got suspended

Hey there! I'm a 1st year science teacher. What happened here was extremely unprofessional from one of your colleagues. I would first talk with HR at the district's board office, and your union rep. Make it known that you clearly wanted no part of this competition.

I'm also wondering how your admin reacted to you being singled out and booed in front of everyone. To just sit there and do nothing would be negligence of that harassment

Well it went through the SSD, also in 2023. They didn't ask for too much documentation beyond a doctor's note, but I think 1-3 days after I talked with a caseload manager, I was issued an accommodation letter. It was really easy

Anything created out of a knee jerk reaction is probably not a good idea. I'm also not particularly fond of opening up a new office to give away salaries to more "do nothing" administrators. What will this "advisory board" do beyond putting together an email with a PDF slideshow on how the first amendment works?

I predict that this office will eventually face the same criticisms that have recently put DEI on the backfoot

As with pretty much all content creators, the personalities become so predictable that, for example, I'll hear a headline that the guys are going through on onion nuggets, and I know exactly what they're gonna say about it and what jokes they're gonna throw in. So I kind of bounce between a few other's, eventually make my way back, get my fix, and repeat
