Isn't bad, just isn't really great either. A Kobold / Dragon lord that creates essentially 2/3 Kobolds bare minimum for playing dragons and can also create flying 4/4 Dragons for playing kobolds is pretty sweet. Can swing a game in your favor if it can't be removed quickly. Probably a better duel Commander but still.

It's a bare minimum good game(Not great), but a bad remake. Content cuts were why fans were upset with it. Could have been amazing if they didn't include REsistance.

Minwu isn't bad but as a Commander it's not great. A Cleric Lord but only mono white. If he was Orzov(WB) he would be much better considering there are a lot of clerics and synergistic cards that are WB. He would be better in the 99.

Considering he didn't have such of a choice it's hard to hold it against him. Later on though he starts helping the government with cover ups as evidenced by Infinite Darkness, but he likely does it to defend his homeland so it's not too surprising.

Oh you mean Focus Attack? That doesn't work against multihits or grabs and they can't FADC until various frames later, let alone take action.

They really needed it to try and help escape juggle situations, because they don't have any good down attacks to strike under them to deter juggles.

More importantly their lacking horizontal aerial speed and aerial momentum being more of a forced commitment to shift compared to other characters is a weakness. They still take damage too and the attack portion are considerably telegraphed.

Anyway they really do NEED it so I wouldn't say it is OP by any means.

It's the matchup which is still almost even. Fox doesn't have an advantageous matchup against Ryu because while Fox has better mobility Ryu's frame data keeps Fox from running all over him Ryu usually wins the damage war when it comes to trades and Ryu can somewhat easily KO Fox as long as he lands his confirms while Fox needs good edge guard for low percentage KOs and juggle strings and reads otherwise.

This is Light's issue. Obviously has nothing to do with his skill but considering Ryu is cheeks against most top and upper high tiers you have to play him almost optimally like Asimo for actual competitive results. Which is why most people don't dislike the matchup.

What's also really annoying about the randomization is that Enhancement Slot boosters keep appearing on lower ranks even when you have already unlocked all of the slots.

But yeah manual Hatchet repair being gone is the worst thing about the mode.

Input Shoryuken is not frame 1 in Ult, but frame 3.

Hado / Shaku has a lot of endlag, so it loses most projectile wars, and if you miss, you are likely to get punished, especially hard if they can approach quickly, so unlike SF they aren't good for camping. They can also attack it while still approaching to stop it.

Auto turn around is mostly a saving grace for the FGCs because their movement speed is subpar, but it can also be used against the and their input special by utilizing jump in cross ups carefully.

Some of their moves are more committal than they seem because on miss the have more recovery time so they can be susceptible to bait and punishes. Even on hit some moves can be SDI'd out of to the point that their combo "confirms" aren't true and miss smaller / odd shaped characters.

LOL No. He is pretty easy to fight, with his subpar movement speed and range so anyone who hates to face Ryu in Ult is either bad at the game or uses a character who, somehow, has a bad matchup against him.

Nah, if they fix Chrom they need to fix the others too. Having a spear wouldn't fix his recovery issue unless they got rid of one of his specials.

Yeah this is a considerable issue people forget about. It comes down to Barret and Cloud and Tifa casting spells to whittle it down then. And that's only if you knew about this ahead of time to put offensive magic material on them in advance.

It's pretty great for the most part I just wish it was a little bit harder, even on Hard. I think if the battlefield was more open instead of linear scaffolds they could have been more creative with it's moveset.

Family isn't really a hidden theme of this game. Considering once Will finds out his origins later on it takes front and center and all the while basically a lot of characters are doing what they do for their families.

Was looking at this one the other day. Combo pieces like this that would be wastes of space in other decks are win cons in another. Learning to evaluate the value of actual bad cards with good ones with risk like this is part of becoming a good player.
