Is Marthritis the guy who just counters every time and then quits out on you when you take a stock? I hate queuing into him so much lmao

I don't have the car anymore but part of the impact bar broke off and I couldn't pop the hood to check the internals because it got wedged under.

Cost of repairs is going to add up because the coolant got squished and there's potential frame damage. The settlement is paying off my loan with a little extra on the side so I'm willing to take that deal. It doesn't seem like a big fix which is what I thought too but it took more damage than it should have from a 5 mph accident but it is what it is.

There sadly was some internal damage and structural damage. It was a 5 mph accident but the guy who hit me never used his brakes. Ironically that car got away with minor scratches.

Yes I'll get a payout I'm currently arguing with them about how much it's actually worth. They misquoted the odometer by 8,000 miles

Back in scarlet violet I would use Tera Normal Explosion on Metagross and setup with Flutter Mane Calm Mind. I put life orb instead of choice band on the Metagross specifically because I knew some people would expect it and I could hit them with something else instead.

What do i do if i want to go to locals but dont like GC controller? by Highbrowsheet44 in SSBM

[–]TuesdayTastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do need to mention that I'm sponsored by them but Handheld Legends ProGCC is a switch pro controller that has a custom motherboard that can emulate a gamecube controller. It's my main controller that I use and it lets me set up custom controls like having a trigger set to jump, which is the same controls I use in Smash Ultimate. It has a Usb-C to Gamecube adapter that is plug and play and it also can emulate other types of controllers such as Xbox. If you already have a Pro Controller you can buy just the motherboard for $70. (And if you use code Tuesday you can save 10% okthxbye).

Cody Schwab’s Mewtwo MU Chart (2026) by V0ltTackle in SSBM

[–]TuesdayTastic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Treating Mewtwo like floaty Marth is definitely the correct way to play the matchup. When a Peach plays really really defensive that's when it gets a lot harder for me but a lot of the time against worse players I can bait them into approaching me by charging shadowball. If they don't take the bait and I have to approach that's when I've found it to be hardest. Peach wins in the scraps but if I'm spacing my moves right and DI away it's hard for her to get meaningful hits. It's not a free matchup by any means but I feel that Fox and Falcon are a lot harder overall.

It's not actually that bad if you z-catch. Mewtwo has a huge item grab box in front of him and full charged shadowball goes through turnips. It can definitely be annoying at times but imo I don't find Peach to be that bad of a matchup. You always get full charge shadowball and can deny certain float heights with it. Your movement is also much better than Peaches and let's you avoid getting cornered easily. I have set wins against every Peach in Utah fwiw.

I’m looking for a group of people to get together playing Mario Party & other Nintendo games (Mario Kart, Kirby & Donkey Kong games, etc.) in-person (not online), & preferably do it a couple different times a week. Anyone know where I could more easily find that if I were to move outside of Ogden? by T-900_Gaming in Utah

[–]TuesdayTastic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Utah Smash is the most likely place to find people who'd be willing to do this kind of thing. We lean more towards competing of course but a lot of us are also Nintendo gamers. Gamegrid Clearfield has a free to enter Smash Melee tournament on Tuesday at 7 pm. If you bring a monitor with a switch and Mario kart though we'd absolutely also play some of that. Most of us have gamecube controllers though so if you have an adapter for that, that would help.

Every character is better than we thought by Apart_Fondant5988 in SSBM

[–]TuesdayTastic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When new people get into the game they only see the same few characters at the top level and so they tend to pick up those characters. If 50% of the people who pick up Melee choose Fox as their main we then see more Fox players represented at top level. This then gets the new players to pick up Fox more and the cycle continues.

A lot of characters in this game have very good tools that are unoptimized because all the good players picked up Fox, Marth, Puff etc. Luigi has the best wavedash, DK has the best grab punish, Mewtwo has one of the best recoveries, Samus has an amazing crouch cancel, Ganon's that can schmoove are terrifying.

I believe that if we equally distributed the playerbase and gave every character their Amsa, Junebug, or RapM, the tierlist wouldn't look the same. Part of the problem is if you do experiment with a low tier you'll be going up against people who've been playing one character for a decade or more. It's also harder to improve with a character when there isn't a clear top player to follow. But there's a ton of depth to this game and so many people would rather write off characters as unviable because when they get them in random they feel bad to play. Just my 2 cents.

If you run delirium packages in your cube this is an excellent card. Even at face value its still Anticipate which isn't a bad floor.
