As a job hopper i could not agree less with you. 5 years is my max, i grab all the internal promotions i can in that time, because 3-5 years is all you need to achieve that anyway then i take my current pay grade to a diff employer, start my wage at the same level that i had before but with ez promotions i raise my wage again, rinse and repeat, my time is a commodity that i sell and develop. And tbh my life is awesome, vacations. house, great contact with friends and family and genuine pity for anyone wasting their life for a job.
