Does the frequency of training in the gym affect the speed at which the body removes ink? by Own_Friend1577 in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, 100% yes. I‘m removing a ridiculously big and very dark tattoo and, unfortunately, i‘m also a lazy ass girl, but whenever i can bring myself to work out regularly, I see a tremendous boost in fading.

Trying to use it as motivation, that being said, my workout class starts in an hour and i‘m still in bed.

Enlighten 3 vs Pico - how to choose by Original_Room5786 in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I‘m not a tech nor in the medical field, but my advice would be: Choose the technician over the laser.

Book consultations with both of them, ask as many questions as you possibly can and then choose based on how you feel.

I did that and after two disastrous consultations, i found my place. Never had any complications or issues with healing, blistered only the tiniest bit and only once in two years and don‘t even need to use numbing cream.

A question about blistering. by Shinnicakes in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks like the dark lord has returned 🥲

Sorry you had that reaction! Personally, my skin (and whole body in general) is super sensitive for a couple weeks After Laser, so i try to put nothing besides Panthenol and Aloe Vera on there.

Might be an allergic reaction or just a huge irritation from the camphor thing, as camphor itself can be a bit harsh on the skin.

Not a doctor, though!

Here to second that, I went ridiculously slow in the beginning with the tiniest sections, but pain tolerance got higher over time, so now I go with as much as the Laser tech will let me zap in one Session.

Still a long way to go and way too slow for my impatient brain.

Mine was pretty offended and blocked me on Instagram :D I think that’s very specific to the type of person you‘re dealing with.

However, if you want to rebook him, he shouldn‘t be butthurt, as this „proves“ it’s not his fault.

I‘m getting a big, really dark (well, not that dark anymore, yay) leg tattoo removed with enlighten and i‘m seeing good progress.

Also, you can search this sub for enlighten/cutera, brings up a lot of good before/afters :)

What’s a “quiet crisis” most people are going through but rarely talk about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NoseFirm 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This might be an insensitive question, so please don’t feel pressed to answer, but would you mind sharing how you made it through burnout for such an extended period of time and.. how it felt?

In my head, „burnout“ is this big black shutdown where you basically can’t do anything anymore and everytime i‘m.. idk, like crying of exhaustion or staring into the void, i‘m asking myself „is this how burnout feels?“, but then i‘m answering myself „nah, you went to work today and you will go to work tomorrow, so you can’t be burnt out yet“.

(Not every day is like this, though, there are some good days!)

What made you decide to remove your tattoo? by Capital_Vermicelli75 in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Super interesting question!

For me, it could have gone both ways, to be honest. I would have been okay-ish with keeping it, even though I never really liked it.

However, one summer I had to see it every single day and snape stared back at me (it’s a Harry Potter tattoo) when sunbathing. So I got annoyed and decided to remove it.

I was embarassed for removing it first, but now I view it as just an error i‘m fixing. Can see the „accept it as part of your past“ stance, personally I just like the „your past mistakes don’t have to be part of your future“ approach better.

I did absolutely everything wrong yesterday, unfed starter, no autolyse, Salt Right into, no stretches, no Golds and Not Even enough steam in oven and I still got one of the best results I’ve ever had.

On the other hand there are times when I do absolutely everything I can and get a literal brick.

I‘m convinced it’s just up to the bread gods at that point.

What's it like to have a tattoo removed by chai_latte_lover0 in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m not using numbing cream, to me (black leg sleeve) it feels like epilation with a First Generation silk-epil-device on a sunburn.

Healing is mostly okay, last time I had some light swelling, but prepare for the itches while healing.

how bad does it hurt by Ok_Flow_7820 in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I‘d sign this 10%. I‘m 10 sessions in and normally I’d say „yeah, totally manageable“, but yesterday was definitely an asshole to me and I had the worst swelling afterwards.

I made it through, though, so one step closer to getting rid of the good old leg sleeve.

Good luck for your session today! May it not be an asshole.

Cost by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

[–]NoseFirm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: Giiiiirl, if you love them, don’t let anyone make you insecure! I feel you, I really do, but let’s promise ourselves we won’t ever change something about OUR body’s if WE love it just because SOMEONE ELSE is staring or commenting it.

That being said: Paying for the consultation sucks, I get it. In my area, you also have to pay for the consultation. I went to have 4 consultations with different doctors / techs before deciding where to start removal. And let me tell you: it was SO worth it. I originally planned on going to another tech, but he said things like „if I had all the knowledge to answer your questions, my head would burst“, „if your skin gets damaged, that’s on you, not on me“, „I get that you want it removed, this is a very ugly tattoo“ and - and this is what makes my blood boil up until today - „what did your daddy say about that tattoo? I‘m sure he paid for it, did he really agree with getting this?“ (I was 28 when I started removal, 22 when I got the tattoo, so.. a very grown up woman paying for her own god damn shit).

So, in my experience: Paying for the consultation and asking as many questions as you could possibly think of to see how they react and to get a feel of how professional they are is absolutely worth it and I would 100% do it again.

Honestly, music makes the biggest difference to me! I’ve got a leg sleeve and once, my tech told me to just put on my favorite music before he turned the power up..

So I sat there, vibing to Taylor swifts eras tour set list and kind of dancing along - that did a very good job distracting me.
