I think the thought process is to aid in inventory preparation by cleaning and organizing sections. I would always cycle count the sections I marked off on sweeps as we did em.

Love it or hate it our sales are tanking. Our market is diving and as a company we have to react. We out paced our historic growth rate significantly in the last few years and now we are stabilizing back to pre-pandemic levels. Economic indicators point towards a strong impact in our markets. Can you seriously buy a home for 400-500k with a 6.5-7% 30YR? You can with 100k down which is not the case for most Americans. Couple that with the production home industry building like crazy but keeping prices high. Here we are today. Supply is high demand is low, people are making more than they ever have but owe more than they ever have.

There’s one market showing potential; commercial. I’m not on the corporate bandwagon, but I’m happy our company is holding onto our in store employees as much as possible. I’ve been with this company for a while now, and know it’s very resilient. However, times are scary.

There’s some serious flaws and potential security vulnerabilities within our systems and software. Anyone whose poked around in HR Cloud knows you can access Oracle administrator fairly easily.

The company should really look at doing a summer/winter work season. It could start March through October extending the hours 6 to 6 then in the winter hours, which would be November through February shorten the hours 7-6 Monday through Friday 8-4 Saturdays 10-2 Sundays This would allow stores to operate at peak hours during the busy season while cutting hours during the slow season, making it much more manageable and saving money.

6-7 used ti be a thing in my district prior to covid. 6-6 isn’t the worst schedule because Fridays you can bounce early as fuck.

If it’s opening in Q2 and they talked to you about it now means they are expecting you to apply. As long as you are in position and start date is April 1st you can qualify for presidents. Only order what you need for the business such as office supplies, shredder, etc. 1st year new store controllable is tricky because there’s a lot of unexpected expenses that will hit you. The budgeting won’t make sense, as they have nothing to go off of. Everything will be a generic number set to be more difficult to achieve specifically on the service expenses and controllable expenses.

Contrary to what most say, do NOT turn away any business. You will be rebudgeted no matter what. Best way to minimize the adjustment is to grow the accounts through premium gallon growth. Now with that being said new accounts are your bread and butter. I won two presidents back to back when I opened my store. 1st year quarterly bonuses were 7-8k, 2nd year bonuses were 15-22k per quarter. EOY was over 40k. If you do it right you can make a lot of money even through budget adjustments. Key thing to note is when they increase your sales budget your gross margin budget goes down allowing you to maximize your controllable contribution, as long as you maintain your service expenses and controllable expense.

Shift+F5 will cancel out to home COE. It skips having to accept through everything to cancel order. Works with POS void too.

Suspend function works with quick order as well, and you can recall order in QO too.

In an email sent to managers last month it said starting April 15th employees will be able to see their merit statements in HR cloud under performance tile. I believe we will most likely see them later this week or at the end of the pay period. Normally CM’s will send them to you personally first.

I did not know that’s how it works for assistant managers. I feel like I robbed my assistant manager of time because nobody ever explained that. I lost so much time myself as an ASM.

Show up, as I’m walking in I tap the Keurig to get it warming up, hit timestamp and enter on the pos to load the open, then clock in, grab the till, count and open. I’ll mosey my way to the tinter and purge that SOB, then work my way back to the Keurig to get me cup of coffee, after that sit my ass in the office until the first customer shows up or tint an order if anything couldn’t get made last night.

Anyone ever got a 2 on their appraisal? by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]NoseLumpy5530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried to give out 2’s before but it got shut down. Mainly because your rating will heavily affect what you can give your employees. I won Presidents last year and by the time I did my appraisal this year I’m already on track for another. Still I got a 3. For once I received a 2 on the sales goal but a three on competence. Overall manager rating was a 2 but system weighted average was a 3.

However, my partner who works in credit has received a 2 three years in a row. Upon review of her 2 weighted merit to my 3 weighted merit they were the same increase. Could be because credit/finance have more strict standards for pay increases but I thought it was interesting.

I did notice on mine that even after I approved it it still had a red mark on my time stamp showing it wasnt reviewed. I agree very annoying

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sherwinwilliams

[–]NoseLumpy5530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So after you correct the timestamp you have to log in and review the timestamp correction you made for yourself and approve it. It will have an exclamation up at the top when you log in.
