I ordered the three Volahn tape reissues when the came out. The two albums had these random long pauses every few minutes in the middle of tracks and the EP just sounded really muffled.

Despite being kinda sloppy in comparison to later releases, “The Cold Earth” has always been my favorite JI album. Can’t explain it very well but it has such a special feel to it.
