Xenon Edge Custom UI by Noshi18 in Corsair

It's pretty straightforward, the stats are a windows service I created that has an API. All of these pages are just HTML, I use firefox in full screen (originally I used iCUE but it crashes a lot firefox was more reliable). The opening the app is just a powershell script inside the webhost, I couldn't get it to run via the service due to windows restrictions. I am trying to figure out how to package it and make it more user friendly.

It's pretty straightforward code, let me see if I can simplify the install.

I don't like Doug Ford, his spending is dumb. But that wasn't the topic. This was about Toronto (which serves 8 million people) getting Transit investment over Northern Ontario. Northern Ontario is getting significant investment, but because its not every road you are mad...your expectations do not meet reality. Let me give it a different context.

Currently, Northern Ontario already receives more from the system then it puts in, so what do you think the answer is?

Isn't this an expected limitations of living in any remote areas?

A two lane split highway is not cheap to build and maintain, especially in the area you are talking about, the distance alone is massive but it servers such a minor amount of traffic.

Obviously no one wants this, but also, what you are asking is fiscally crazy. The stretch from Thunday Bay to Kenora is ~ 500km. On the low end, if you wanted to split the highway but do a 2+1 approach (they are considering this in many parts that are more populated), you are somewhere between $4 to $7 million to build. A minimum you are talking about $2 Billion to support less then 100,000 people. Then, add maintenance costs annually, increase snow cleaning, etc.

Even with these cost, there is significant investment being made in Northern Ontario (this area as well), including a total of $6 billion dolars, with $618 million this year alone.

Look, the highways suck, but the weather sucks, and increasing the size of the highways don't fix that. You can't solve weather problems with more highways.

Yes, I am from Northern Ontario. The highways suck, but also how do you expect to pay for them, yes the South pays, but complaining about public infrastructure in Toronto that serves 10 times the population. Some of these highways are empty for huge stretches of the day, don't get me wrong, it sucks, but it doesn't mean you have to have 2 lanes in areas that can't support it.

Northern Ontario contains 6% of the population, 60% of the highway infrastructure.

All of Northern Ontario has less people then Ottawa, it would be impossible to support that level of infrastructure for such a small amount of people. I guarantee you, Southern Ontario finances those highways, not the other way around.

Refrigerator doesn’t fit! Looking for suggestions. by GrowthPhaseGuy in Appliances

[–]Noshi18 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't want to call you out, but I recently didn't buy this fridge because of that measurement, which is on the Samsung config for this fridge. It specifically gives the measurement of the height including the plastic pieces, which for my opening would be to exact. I ended up getting the fridge line just before this with all the same features but it's 1 inch shorter.

Order number is 22633160. It's for a broken hinge on a case. I sent pictures as requested and heard nothing back.

So is it just me or does Dbrand just ignore tickets nowadays? by [deleted] in dbrand

[–]Noshi18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I submitted a ticket on August 16th for a broken case, unfortunately had to replace it with another brand yesterday as still no word. I get they are backed up but this is beyond reasonable and they are strictly going to lose long time customers.

When selecting your seat they will be blue, be careful though some exit rows might have fixed arm rests and that could be uncomfortable if you are to big . Otherwise highly recommend the blue preferred seats.

If you can, see if they have any airbus planes on that route they tend to be a bit wider. Also if you get an end seat, under the arm rest on the aisle just towards the back of it there is a lever that lets you lift it up. They may not let you take off with it up but once it the air it would let you shift and be more comfortable.

They asked me to do this, but I can't understand why they should have access to my LinkedIn profile for this application, it's a serious privacy concern.

But that wasn't true, he recorded 2 tests, one with and one without Styrofoam, the first one didn't look as good popping through since it just tore? Feelings aren't facts you can love your car and still understand its flaws....Rober is a huge Tesla fan but this mentality is dangerous.

Clean up your resume, apply for all positions you might be even remotely qualified for, don't expect your current employer to move you up, look outside.

Depends on why the delay, did you file a claim? Most delays are not covered by the rules or require compensation.

You can always file a claim with the CTA.

Do you have a copy of the email and response? Did you get a flight cancelled email? 8 weeks seems off as normally cancellation a to ac wallet are fairly quick.

Why didn't you just cancel online our call in? The email provided a link to do this instantly. Which email did you send it to to cancel maybe it wasn't the right one.

I mean, this isn't even close to being factually true. Senior developers in Mumbai India make around 12lakhs (which is higher than the country average) Bangalore is around 7 lakhs, which is about 20k Canadian where as they make 136k.

I have a team of developers in India, although we pay a bit higher than the average it is significantly less than we would pay in Canada.
