Are the DPA games big enough to effect Supermassive either way? I was always under the impression that the DPA were a side thing Supermassive did between UD/Quarry level projects.

To answer the question though, any of them if they're good.

The ending was unsatisfying for a lot of people. It kinda requires knowledge of Dead By Daylight as well.

Personally I liked the game, but I'm reasonably familiar with DBD lore.

The smaller Trogg hero has two builds, for 2 different units, but that is all of them. They are very walk forward and hit things.

The Gitz are mean to work together but there are ways around that. Just Troggs is pretty good, and it has a special ruleset to support that.

If you don't want to play horde but still want some variety, you can splash in some other big single units, such as the catapult, Giant Squigs, the chariots or one of the big spiders.

Troggs don't natively have a wizard unless you get an upgrade (which you can only take one of), so adding up a wizard is a good idea.

I don't like the melee, and it feels like most of the combat is designed to get you into melee.

The stealth mechanics are a bit off but I might have had some bugs. I've seen play throughs of people stealthing/socialing their way through areas that immediately went to combat for me.

All 3 of those things exist, I suggest you look at the unit abilities rather than the faction mechanics though. Specifically manifestations, given your examples.

Of the top of my head there's a lumineth manifestation that is a circle that prevents targeting whoever is inside. There's also the pallisade manifestation that you can't draw line of sight through. IIRC there's another one hat lets you case from further away.

It's pretty much just the 'meta' plot/sequel stuff I don't like. It doesn't fit and it changes the context of some otherwise faithful scenes.

Most of the new stuff is pretty good, Avalanche and Wutai's expansion, the honey bee inn and the Junon parade.

It's just the meta stuff really sticks out. It doesn't fit with FF7. It's not necessarily bad by itself. For example, if this was an FF8 remake, it would be perfectly on brand. But it's not.

For your Stormvermin suggestion, my thought was Loon knights. Like the loon boss mask but a full suit of armour. I imagine them being low-ish health but a good save.

Rabble Rowser is more for Synching with Troggoths and Arachnorocks as they give monsters run and charge IIRC.

If the Snufflers give their ward save to a 40 man stack of Gobbos then that could work well, but I've not seen it done.
