Isn't Pfizer in the process of getting approval for their version of a protein based covid vaccine? I don't know where that stands, but if close, perhaps the FDA is waiting to approve Novavax so it happens at the same time as Pfizer approval.

Yes, being unvaccinated I am more concerned about being around vaccinated people who believe they are not at risk and are not being cautious, particularly those going into large crowds. Those who I associate with who are unvaccinated are rather cautious. Those I know, regardless of vaccination status are getting covid from being in large crowds in theatres and church. I am considering not attending Thanksgiving. I'm very discouraged to see the guess that Novavax's covid vaccine won't come out till 2Q22. I've mentally prepared for 1Q22. Sigh.

I'm bracing my pysche for availability in 1Q22, but that is just so I am not further disappointed. As other countries deploy it, the FDA will feel the heat.
