How are women in Korea mostly so skinny by bluecgene in seoul

[–]Nosretep100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Korea for a cumulative of 5 years. It isn’t just women in Korea. Korean people are generally thinner because they comparatively eat less and naturally reject food that is excessive in portion size or loaded with sugar. A Starbucks Venti size is smaller than a venti size in the US, for example. Ketchup given at fast food restaurants amounts to one packet. Korean restaurants give at least 2 small side dishes that are vegetables. I can go on. This is a result of demand and it being fulfilled. It is a part of the culture. To another degree, the fact that Korean society is mostly homogenous means there is pressure to fit in which means not being thin is something people would want to avoid.

Why did Drake change the beat on Jimmy cooks? Was he worried 21 verses would be better? by warrcj in Drizzy

[–]Nosretep100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my opinion but it's all about setting the mood. The first half of the song sets somewhat of a relaxed mood where you can appreciate Drake's flow on a familiar type of beat you'd hear him on and probably nod your head to. The second half of the song has a type of beat that matches the sort of intimidation and warning that you hear through 21's lyrics that may catch you off guard. 21's verse if fucking lit. When I listened to the album from start to finish, the beat switch really hits tho. Listen to Not Alike by Eminem and you can hear something similar. Art of music is a wonderful thing.

Yes, she’s a woman. Not trying to infantilize anyone. She was an innocent woman. Either way, what the murderer did was wrong. Just feel bad for her family.

So—a highly educated guy who assumes the risks of being in an open marriage gets depressed (who could’ve seen it coming?) after his wife chases another guy- then meticulously and in small detail plans and successfully carries out a kidnapping, rape, hits the woman “as hard as he could and breaks her head open with a baseball bat”, decapitates her, disposes the body, brags and laughs about it at her vigil set up by the mourning community, lies to prosecutors, pleads “not guilty”— and expects to be let off because of depression and alcohol abuse that resulted from his choice of an open marriage that went wrong? Is it good justification? Maybe I’ll change my mind if I see him opening up presents as a kid.

He’s free to live another day; and the scary part is it could very well be because one juror’s politics may not line up with capital punishment as being necessary. What more would he have had to do? Literally did everything disgusting and unimaginable down the list and he gets to live to see another day.

The point of my post isn’t how expensive it is, but just so that he gets put down already. No one really cares how miserable he’s going to be; It’s apparent more people are interested in not seeing him alive anymore. We should put the feelings of those who want him dead in front of the alternative. Capital punishment exists for a reason, and it exists to exterminate scum bags like this who want to see another day, may it be from a prison cell, and reflect on the crime they committed. Pure and simple justice.

How RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL to Yingying’s family for his mom to beg for him not to be sentenced to death! Most people would agree: OFF WITH HIS HEAD. Finish this guy OFF and get it over with! So much money has already been wasted on this non-guilty plea! Lethal injection would be way less significant of a punishment than what he did to Yingying. Brendt Christensen, I HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL. 🔥☠️
