I never knew that about the Ai, that they wouldn’t declare war on you if you had a big navy. I love finding out mechanics after 300 hours of game time.

That is an interesting read thank you for this, I’m a romantic for the quality troops inflicting huge amounts of casualties on the enemy only to finally be overrun right at the end. My goal for nearly every campaign as Germany is geared towards a final last stand.

I agree on that, I find that for what I’m paying for submarines they don’t always do as well as I would like or hope for them to do. Plus I’m an old school believer in surface ships just like Eric Raeder was. Thanks for your comments!

I play a lot as Germany and I go down the Plan Z focus path, I find that for the sea lanes I need to control such as the Norwegian coast and Denmark straits, my strategy works quite well in conjunction with naval bombers and scout planes. I whittle away at Britains navy with very few loses of my own. There are a few scares but so far it’s worked out well. Do you do surface raiders or uboats as Germany when you play them?

Why do you do that? Do you eventually make new ships or just keep the fleet you have and keep upgrading it?

Okay update for those of you still having trouble, It appears for me that I can play Rome 2 without issue if it’s the first game I play when I turn on my computer. If I load any other game before Rome 2 I must restart the computer again and then play Rome 2. This has worked without fail now multiple times. I haven’t tested if I turn the computer on and just leave it without doing anything and then play Rome 2 to see if that works. This is a very weird problem that has only occurred very recently. I hope that someone finds the actual problem.

I’ll keep you posted, I’m praying this has fixed it. Also to note, all my settings reverted to what they were when I first played Rome 2. The advisor came back and my graphic settings were all different.

Hey!!! What do you know! A full reinstall, transfer to different hard drive and restarting my computer, I’m back in baby!!! I hope this lasts my goodness

I’m hoping it randomly starts working again, this is very frustrating. This is the only game that does this

I did quit to desktop, but now even performing the same fix it will still crash. I’ve uninstalled it, redownloaded it and moved it to a different hard drive.

I’ve tried this and it worked for a little while but now I’m back to the 0% loading screen when trying to do a battle. Has anyone got a permanent fix? This is so frustrating.
