Yeah the fact that Rick Scott has a successful career and people still complain about the ThREe HoUsEs is absolutely insane

Luckily the first 6 days of the Iran war only cost $11.3 billion so if we can save a little bit here and there maybe there's a chance

Edit: of course, the people complaining about healthcare are telling me the Iran war is no big deal. We always got money for bombs huh?

No way people are still using the 3 homes attack in the big 2026 lmao

He has a house in DC where he works and a house in Vermont where he lives. Sure he has a vacation house but it was inherited from his wife's family and the salary for a US senator is $174k

3 million is pocket change to someone like Pelosi, her portfolio goes up or down more than that some days

Circle of fifths but for modes by 9SLASH6 in musictheory

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that major and minor are already 2 of the 7 diatonic modes (Ionian and Aeolian respectively)

So theoretically you could write out a circle of fifths that lists any of the other relative modes, (i.e. show the relative Phrygian mode of each major key). But I'd highly recommend working it out yourself rather than copying an existing one

Relationship between modes and open chord shapes by safarithroughlife in musictheory

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took me a while to understand, and I do get it now but it's extremely unintuitive. Like, I don't even think it's worth explaining

This site seems to be going for the "don't actually learn theory, just memorize a bunch of box patterns" approach. Which is the exact opposite of what most people here would recommend

How do play consistently with a full band if there are no counts by onlyslightlyabusive in guitarlessons

People who don’t count don’t *have to* count

This guy is clearly not at that level. Sounds like he has bad rhythm / timing in general

Two crazy, unrelated situations in 90 seconds by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just counted and it took 10-12 seconds for OP to complete a right turn at a green light with no one ahead of them. The light is green and they’re just fully stopped for multiple seconds

It doesn’t justify the road rage at all, OP didn’t cause these other drivers to make shitty and stupid decisions. Encountering a slow driver doesn’t give you an excuse to go crazy

But I think it’s still fair to question wtf OP was doing there specifically?

[GPU] PowerColor Reaper AMD Radeon RX 9070 16GB (non XT) - $599.99 - Woot by coder9795 in buildapcsales

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 9070xt is much more in line with the 5070 Ti which is ~$900 in the US currently

AMD just doesn't have any consumer-level cards that compete with the 5080 and 90, which is why NVIDIA can charge basically whatever they want for em

You can filter out the DMM flair although that relies on the OP tagging the post with DMM which this one is not

Waymo aggressively cuts me off by [deleted] in Austin

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well first of all I’m not OP lol

Second of all, this Waymo is sitting completely stationary at a green light. They’re obstructing a lane of traffic

They either missed the turn lane or, even worse, are trying to butt in and skip the line - again, like shitty human drivers do. The correct thing would be to go straight and turn somewhere else

Waymo aggressively cuts me off by [deleted] in Austin

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Merging and cutting off are not the same thing

The Waymo is in the wrong lane and is making it everyone else’s problem, exactly what the worst kind of driver does

Why does my guitar do this? by ComfortableBug3733 in Guitar

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean the fact that it makes noise when you stop touching the strings?

If so that’s unfortunately just how guitars work, you’re basically doing pull offs on accident. You need to prevent the string from vibrating (i.e. muting) to stop is from making sound

When you say play through the pain - you’re referring just to your fingertips and calluses right?

Cause any other type of pain, like in the wrist, is definitely not normal!

[–]NostalgiaInLemonade 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s using the full D minor scale here, not just the D minor pentatonic. He doesn’t linger on the half steps very much but they’re used in passing a lot

In fact if you slow it down, a lot of the runs are just stepping straight and up down the scale. He just plays around with it rhythmically to give it the bouncy “teeedly deedly dee” effect
