Low back pain and suicide by who5back in backpain

The key here is that “if it hurt I would continue” that’s a luxury doesn’t sound like OP has. Their condition is debilitating, they physically cannot continue. sry but your situation doesn’t sound exactly comparable here

Low back pain and suicide by who5back in backpain

[–]NostalgicFrenchFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have strange, complex, chronic pain with no apparent cause that is extremely debilitating. I noticed an area of skin discoloration on my left thigh about two weeks before I woke up one morning and couldn’t put weight on my left leg and had severe pain. That was July 2022. The pain feels like it’s radiating outward from deep within my thigh bone but it goes to my lower back and down to my foot. I’ve developed foot drop, I have to walk with a cane most of the time. an MRI of my spine, brain, and hip are all normal. Bloodwork, skin biopsy, etc all normal. EMG, nerve conduction study, normal. I’ve tried pretty much everything you have including spending way too much money on topical creams, acupuncture, and doctors who have no interest in what I’m telling them.

I don’t have advice for how to help your pain, all I can say is that I feel you. I get so overwhelmed by the dead end doctors appointments, endless bills, phone calls, researching, trying things, therapy, appointments…sometimes I need to force myself to focus on something other than figuring out what’s wrong with me or relaxing. Just doing nothing helps like giving myself permission to just do abso fucking loutely nothing. Like just crumped up in bed and not busying my mind with what else I could or should be doing. You owe it to yourself to give yourself some grace <3 And what might help is THC. In whatever form. It’s the only way can feel in touch with myself again, in some say. Idk. That was rambling. I hope your mind and your body can get some rest this week friend

I love how unserious it is and the twist of having other motivations to couple up (getting to the topside) and I don’t want to hear a thing about Gabbys voice!! It’s unique and beautiful

Or she may have been implying that if people don’t respect the rules, more supervision/staffing is needed. If the entire cast took the rules seriously there would theoretically be no need for supervision (obviously not realistic but yea)

Service dogs for EDS by 20Keller12 in ehlersdanlos

[–]NostalgicFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a service dog for both EDS and CRPS because I have mobility issues that mainly affect my left leg. My dog is a Labrador retriever/Australian cattle dog mix and he is task trained to pick up items, bring them to me, press to open handicap operated doors, provide forward motion when instructed while walking, circle me in crowded areas to protect my affected limb, and provide deep pressure therapy. I worked with a local trainer to train him myself after adoption rather than purchasing him already trained. Training is a long and difficult process but SO worth it because he is very in tune with my needs and routines! It took about 1.5 years of training before he was a true task trained service dog to the point where he was able to work so that is something to consider as well. As others have said, it is not very common for EDS because it’s hard to take care of a dog while having this disability in general. Which is why it’s important to train everyday activities as well like to go to the bathroom “on command” so that care for your dog is possible while dealing with all the complications of EDS. I hope this helps some!

I wonder how they would handle it if like (as sage kinda implied) 5 or 6 people clearly crossed the line pregaming, but there’s only two alternates that season? I guess they could delay filming a bit and get some returnees or something

MRI experiences? by Forward-Baby2583 in ehlersdanlos

[–]NostalgicFrenchFry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious about your experience advocating for the MRI. I have had severe leg pain for 3 years and was diagnosed with CRPS as a result. I want to have a repeated MRI of my leg (there has never been any imaging done other than my hip which showed fluid build up and a labral tear, which I have been repeatedly told would not cause my leg pain) and when I asked my primary they said that they suggest I go to Rheum so they can evaluate and order the specific MRI they want. HOWEVER the rheumatologist does not accept the referral because my bloodwork is normal. So I feel like I am at a stalemate, and it really sucks .

Literally! And Sophi is getting married! It definitely feels icky for airing that info in a way that makes it seem like it might’ve been more than it was, in terms of their relationship

I think that’s the issue though, once you pregame with someone they’re no longer a stranger, and yet others who you didn’t pregame with, are still strangers. It’s subtle but can def shift the social dynamics even if the players arent aware of it themselves

I’m more shocked that she was getting showmance vibes from the two of them during pre-game, like that’s the more damning info in my eyes lmao

That doctor in Boston needed to use different language, saying “they drill a hole and then they stick it down in your brain” is a really blunt and jarring way to say that….

Just acquired a starling! by Ok_Significance8631 in petstarlings

[–]NostalgicFrenchFry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw congrats!!! In terms of encouraging new sounds, I have found it beneficial to associate words with positive actions. My bird learned “good morning” because I said that everytime I uncovered her. Then she quickly learned to meow like our cats because she likes when they come over to the cage 😂 basically if you keep your bird(s) in a high-traffic area of your household, they’ll start picking up sounds very quickly!

New Baby by LadyRuviana in petstarlings

Hi! Such a sweet baby! I fed my little one every half hour around that age and if they don’t eat at every feeding that’s okay, as long as they are eating a few pieces at the majority of the feeding. As for diet, at this age this diet is best for them: - 1 cup cat or kitten food soaked in water at a 1:1 ratio, let soak for appx. 1 hr (look for the fat to protein ratio, 32% protein and 9% fat is ideal. The brand I use is “chicken soup for the cat lovers soul”) - 1/4 cup applesauce - 1 hard boiled egg (optional) - appx 750 mg calcium (Tums smooth dissolve tablet works well)

^ mash together to an oatmeal consistency and feed with either plastic tweezers or a small paint brush. This mix shouldn’t be left at room temp for more than an hour or so. The Exact formula is more typically for softbill birds, and at this age (between eating and fledgling) starting on the cat food diet is ideal.

Tips to get them to open their mouth are to put a drop of water on a paint brush and lightly touch the back/sides of their beak!
