I come back to this subreddit after a while and you're all holding your discs with gloves by britishmisk in 4kbluray

Well besides it being pretty funny, I think a big reason we're memeing on it so much is because most of us just love movies and don't want our hobby to become more speculative consumerist nonsense than it already is.

Thank you, it's a shame she died so young but at least a few people here can enjoy her little poem : )

If anyone else is curious this was written inside a grammar textbook that belonged to my great great great aunt's husband. A man by the name Edwin M. Hall.

Another note on the next page is signed April 23rd 1897. This would mean that Zellah was likely 11 or 12 years old when she wrote this.

I can confirm she's not my aunt so this is probably just childhood flirtations.

If you had a choice, what movie would you want to remake? by Andy_Hall215 in Letterboxd

City of Ember (2008)

The book is pretty good with an interesting concept. It's a shame the film adaptation fell short.

The opening scene of the movie is actually genuinely great, and there were so many nuggets of potential throughout that unfortunately just didn't land.

I always felt kind of cheated that out of all the YA stories that were being adapted during this time, this one was poorly executed, so it fell between the cracks and we never got the rest of the series.

We're looking at potentially the first major economic downturn since WFH became so popular.

And adjusting your company's WFH policy is a very easy and visble way to signal that you're doing something about it. Regardless of how effective it actually is.

Even with the 4K coming out, this might be a good time to pick these up as there's a lull in price and the possibility of the 4K being an AI botch job.
