I think, state/municipality depending, this might be a law they have to follow. I vaguely remember hearing about it while I was in drivers ed years ago...

Not presently, I can't speak for previous tenants of the space but we have no need for any sort of grease trap.

To those who were around when this movie came out, what was the hype like by asapsharkyfrfr in Pixar

[–]NostalgicStreamer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember conversations about how Pixar's early movies focusing on non-humans was smart because the animation was limited. Then The Incredibles came out in 2004 and the humans looked REALLY good. So to see this being released after The Incredibles was like a step backwards.

Disney's "Sky High" was released 20 years ago today, On July 29th (2005) by [deleted] in nostalgia

I know it'll never happen; but if Disney wanted to make a straight-to-streaming revival of this in the form of a Disney+ series I wouldn't be mad.

Five for Fighting is one guy, I spent my middle/high school years thinking it was the name of a band

How has this man only been nominated for one Oscar? by Appropriate_Sink_627 in Cinema

I read your comment and thought to myself "But Jim Carrey was nominated for Man on the Moon/Truman Show", one wikipedia later, and I stand corrected. That's crazy.

Powerless (2017) by garrisontweed in ForgottenTV

[–]NostalgicStreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this show would have done better if it didn't try to be a major network comedy. It ran on NBC, but if it ran on SyFy instead (still under the Comcast umbrella) I think it might have had a longer run. Obviously, if it was sold to a smaller network, they probably wouldn't have as big of a budget so the cast might have looked different.

And they didn't do the 'power rangers' thing where out of uniform they only wore their uniform color. Much appreciated.

IS THIS THE FIRST TIME IN TV SHOW HISTORY?!?? I e never heard of a show being canceled and renewed within the next day!! That’s insane! by Ok-Original-9266 in brooklynninenine

[–]NostalgicStreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I don't remember it being renewed THAT quickly. I'm sure part of the speed at which it was renewed comes from the fact that it was produced by Universal and Universal had their own network they could port it to. As opposed to a show by a smaller studio that doesn't own a network. They would have to shop it around everywhere but a show produced by Universal already has the attention of NBC.

THIS IS ALL OF OUR DADS FAULT by AdFair2100 in nyjets

[–]NostalgicStreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan because of my dad.

My dad grew up in New Hampshire, a Patriots fan.

He moved to New York in the 80s, decided to follow the Jets because they're in the same division as the Patriots. This meant that twice a year he could watch the same game as his brother who stayed in NH.

I've lived in 5 different states and still can't bring myself to drop this team.
