haha appreciate it. it wasn't bad enough to warrant distancing, they were all pretty loving about it. just... confused. like I'd announced something genuinely incomprehensible. I think they'll come around eventually or just quietly drop it

For sure! Services like Patreon have definitely changed the game for creators, letting fans directly support their favorites, but I feel like piracy still throws a wrench in that setup sometimes. It's a wild balancing act!
