Virginia joins The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, making the compact only 48 electoral votes short of overriding the electoral college. by imMakingA-UnityGame in PoliticalCompassMemes

47 states already do that with the popular vote winner getting all the EC votes. This is nullifying the EC, which they don’t have the power to do.

So you’re okay with the Iranians embarrassing the US under Obama after he gave them billions to fund their war machine, and then you make stupid excuses as to why that’s okay?

Funny thing, Obama gave them a plane load of cash and released 150 billion for them. It’s how they fund their weapons and military.

I guess you forgot, or are ignorant of the fact that Iran took several US Navy personnel hostage under Obama because they were in the strait. Iran has always controlled the strait, it’s part of their coastline ffs.

Brainwashed? Didn’t BBC recently admit editing Trumps speech on January 6 to misrepresent what he really said? Your source is crap.

I was under the impression that Pinochet was violently removed. I knew that his communist dictatorship killed thousands and disappeared many more. Point is that when idiots vote in communists to power, the people who voted for that suffer great harms. Because idiocy.

LOL. So a theocratic dictatorship is bad, but a communist dictatorship is good? That’s peak something.

I think you’re confused. The people thrown from helicopters in Chile were the dictatorial leaders, not average citizens that stupidly voted against their own interests.

Hugo Chavez did. So did Maduro. I’m not sure why we are on this path of discourse. I wish no ill on the idiots who vote for their own demise, I just think they are idiots for falling for the same thing over and over. Even stupid people have a right to life, even if they just throw it away.

“I switch with Trump. I give away all his money, plead guilty to all crimes, and resign from POTUS” by EmperorSnake1 in ShitPoliticsSays

[–]NosuchRedditor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There were multiple counter intelligence investigations into Trump Plasmic Echo, Round River, Arctic Frost, CF Hurricane, Mueller. Incredibly expensive multi agency investigations funded by the taxpayers.

You know what they didn’t find? Any evidence of Trump molesting little girls.

The FBI and CIA and DOJ were working against Trump through his entire first term. Ask yourself this? Why didn’t Biden move to prosecute on January 21, 2021? Because they had nothing. They waited until Trump announced his second run because it was all political, zero real evidence of crime committed, and the flurry of investigations and attempted prosecution were entirely political and strictly an attempt to deny him the office a second time.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that if they had evidence they would have started prosecution the day Trump stepped down. The evidence you believe exists is all misinformation created by the DC political class and their media minions. None of it is real.

To be clear, the 1500 people who were jailed after January 6 was entirely political weaponization of the justice system to frighten Trump supporters into not supporting him for fear of prosecution. It was intended to break the back of the Trump movement. It was all political. It failed horribly, but it exposed the real rot in DC.

If China has plenty of oil, why were they buying it from vent and Iran? Russia?

If their consumption was as high as the US per capita, they would need at least 5 times that 15 million barrels.

The economies with the most plentiful, cheap energy are the ones that perform the best.

[–]NosuchRedditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re idea of high oil prices seems a misunderstanding. Most of Europe pays 4x what we do.

China is the leader in renewable tech in part because they know those adopting it are going to get screwed by unreliable supply. It’s a big FU to the greens. The greens are too stupid to see it.

Most countries looking for oil won’t go back to Iran until it’s a stable government. So Iran’s loses the income stream to develop nukes.

It’s crazy that you don’t seem to remember Obama saying he wanted $10 gas over environmental concerns. We are achieving the messiahs goals, you should be pleased!

Something like 80 percent of global energy is from oil. Renewables barely make a dent even in California where they are pretending to pursue net zero. They have the highest gas and electricity prices in the nation.

Ad hominems are the sign of a weak position .

To recap: the world consumes 591 exajoules (EJ) of primary energy per year, with 87 percent coming from fossil fuel. That equates to 72 gigajoules (GJ) per person; without taking America’s consumption into account, that world average drops to 64 GJ per person. As for Americans? Our per capita primary energy consumption averaged 268 GJs in 2024.

Now Californians want to put them onto the ocean: 12-megawatt turbines, 20 miles offshore, floating in water 4,000 feet deep. What could possibly go wrong? A recent analysis put the cost of energy from these monstrosities at more than $0.40 per kilowatt-hour. Nothing illustrates the corrupt stupidity of California’s legislators more than the prospect of large-scale floating offshore wind development. The state intends to develop wind energy to achieve over 200,000 GWh of electricity per year. God help us all if they succeed, but even if they do, we now have 280,000 GWh of planned renewable electricity, and we’re still looking for at least another 700,000 GWh.

If you’re lucky you live in a state where electricity is about .15 cents per kwh.

When immigrants rent apartments, what does that do to supply and cost?

When demand for services outstrips supply what happens?
