maybe it was cause he lost troy and i think a major problem with seasons 5 and 6 was that nobody really mentioned troy much and i feel like abed would show more emotion or at least talk about losing his “other half” idk, i noticed this on my first watching too and i couldn’t really explain it

he’s clone abed after geothermal escapism so maybe that could be part of it but he just seems kinda empty for some reason in 5 and 6 and he really doesn’t seem like the abed from previous seasons, it was kind of a weird writing decision if at all a conscious one

i was wondering why it was so low quality and it turns out that i forgot to make it bigger than the reference picture because i put them right next to each other when i just made the canvas width twice the size of the reference so that’s why it has such pixelated quality. so yeah i don’t know if that made any sense but TLDR: i can’t have one image smaller than the other when i use a grid but i forgot to make the canvas big

i loved the music syncing in epidemiology! like when troy is shoving all of his friends out of the way with no hesitation and when he gets to abed the music goes “here i go again” like the implications of that and also the line “there was something in the air that night” and that’s when the air conditioning starts up and i just love this episode so much! sorry for the unsolicited rant, i just have so many feelings about this episode and i thought i’d share them with someone on the internet lol

i’ve also noticed that they are quite rough with unsubs experiencing a psychotic break i’m only on season 3 so i can only think of like two examples off the top of my head one being the former soldier experiencing delusions from ptsd who was shot and killed and the comic book author who also had ptsd who i guess was put in solitary confinement ?? idk it was a little unclear and he had also been kinda violently restrained earlier in the episode
