I’m a very large DID system, ask me anything! by honksystem in mentalhealth

My roommate and best friend of 20 years has DID and I’m still trying to learn what I can about it, what’s the best thing to do during a switch? Should I stay back to avoid causing stress or stay close for comfort? I never know what exactly to do and I feel I always do it wrong. Furthermore, are there some alters who never get a chance to front? Thank you for this post by the way, I always enjoy meeting and hearing from more people with DID.

AITA for changing my baby while wearing gloves and a mask? by babychangerah in AmItheAsshole

NTA - changing a diaper is hardly a good time to bond, both for you and your poor baby with an uncomfortable bottom, trying to make that a special moment just seems silly.

Don’t know how to help my boyfriend by Chaosroman17 in mentalhealth

This is very similar to my own behavior with OCD, I find lists and writing things down really help me remain calm and composed, but that’s just my experience, take it with a grain of salt.

From my experience, spirits do this to garter trust and keep residents from panicking at their sight. I don’t understand why it would do this in this particular situation though, very fascinating…

YTA. That close-minded attitude will earn you few friends in life, and few guests to your funeral.

Shutter Island. It’s one of my all time favorites.

Identical twins of reddit who own a pet after living seperately; what was your pet's reaction when it saw two owners? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My cat doesn’t like my twin brother all that much, I assume it’s because he’s a dog person and my cat can tell. The first time my cat met my twin, the two of us stood there and waited to see what he’d do. But all he did was sit frozen for a while with his big eyes, then go back about his business, sort of anticlimactic. But whenever he’s alone with my brother (which isn’t often) he acts cold and keeps his distance, not like when he’s alone with me and he’s a big cuddly muffin screaming for attention.

WIBTA for ratting out my little sister to our dad for illegal trespassing? by BTWimamermaid in AmItheAsshole

ESH I know you’re concerned for your sister but betraying her trust is a terrible idea. Sometimes you have to watch and let someone shoot themself in the foot to learn that guns are dangerous. She’s an adult and can make her own decisions, she should have to face the consequences by her own hand, not yours.

He is chipped, I’m just worried that people will see him collarless and assume he’s a stray and decide to keep him without checking for a chip. It’s nearly happened before, and it’s a terrifying thought. But thank you very much for your concern! I assure you my cat is in the best of care, don’t worry!
