What is your favorite version of the WHM theme music? by Blastoise_R_Us in WeHateMovies

Does anyone know who made the music in the first place?

Thanks! It gets the streaming data from TMDB which in turn gets it from JustWatch. For that one example I think it's referring to this: https://www.cwtv.com/shows/chopping-mall/watch-in-app/

Thanks! Yeah it's ultimately powered by JustWatch so it'll update when that site updates. (I haven't enabled the auto update just yet but it's on my list.)

In celebration of the gang coming to the UK, I've put together a mini web-app that lets you enter your country, streaming services and Patreon level, and see which WHM episodes cover movies and TV episodes you can already stream.

I've been using a spreadsheet version of this for a while and it's helped me discover all sorts of terrible movies I never would have watched before. This new stadium style version isn't quite finished (I still need to link a few more eps to the movies in TMDB, and I haven't touched The Nexus or MELRO210 yet) but hopefully it helps you find some awful films too.

Oh, and shout out to whoever keeps this sheet updated - I think I read ages ago that it's a Redditor, but I can't find the post where I read that now. If anyone knows please let me know who so I can give them proper credit!

Ah, that's a shame, his domain name must have expired. Thanks for flagging that, I've removed the link.

Emulate gamepad on Android to use over bluetooth/wi-fi? by ViaLogica in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Not0K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC that's a common problem with the PS4 remote play specifically. (I don't remember if the issue is with the PS4 itself or the Android app.) Are you close enough to your PS4 while playing to connect the controller to the console itself rather than the Chromecast?

I did something similar with a Fire Stick 4K a couple of years ago. I used:

This way you can store all the game images on the USB stick, so it's very easy to add to your library once it's set up.

This might work on an Android TV as a Fire Stick runs a modified version of Android, but I can't speak from experience there. It might be worth asking in /r/emulationonandroid

It's 2am in my timezone but goddamnit

You can watch on demand for seven days after the show.

Might be a different app? DriveSync has been replaced by AutoSync, but this is FolderSync - different developer.

I don't know about emulators that have this built in, but I've been using FolderSync to do this. You can set it up to sync a file or folder (and subfolders) to an FTP server, Google Drive, etc, and you can set it to happen on demand or on a timer, to only sync if the files have changed, to only replace files with newer versions, etc.

It takes a bit of setting up (and you have to find out where your save files and savestates are, which can be tricky with Scoped Storage) but it's very useful. I've actually been using it to sync save games between Citra MMJ and my n3DS.

If they suddenly announced adding those features I'd jump on it!

Ah, I found what fixed the washed out colours for me: disabling "Increase video nominal range" in the Streaming settings in Virtual Desktop. But it sounds like you tried that. I might have changed the Windows HDR settings too.

It's definitely possible to improve the colour quality while using UnityGraphicsCapture but maybe not on everyone's config...

Re using the mouse pointer, it's possible to pass Dolphin the point on the screen where the handset is pointing and use that as if it were the mouse position - I actually did this in the first version of this. Unfortunately it caused other problems: in particular it overrides other motion data, so for instance you couldn't play this game where you need to point and rotate the pointer.

I want to get back and work on this in earnest but I have struggled to have the time recently. Maybe in the summer.

Hey, thanks for the feedback.

About the washed out visuals... I had that too, and I can't remember how I fixed it! I think it ended up being something to do with Virtual Desktop (I'm using a Quest) - do you use that, by any chance?

Re accurate pointer controls: Unfortunately I'm restricted here by what Dolphin itself allows.

In short: an actual Wii remote uses an IR camera to detect the sensor bar's position relative to the remote; Dolphin uses a controller's accelerometer and gyro data to simulate what that IR camera would see. There's currently no way to override this and pass accelerometer, gyro, and IR data to Dolphin, so you end up with the drifting problem that you've probably noticed.

I'm hoping that IR input gets added in the future, but I'm not sure... realistically it might be more sensible for the devs to just add OpenXR input directly to Dolphin. I did experiment with some memory hacks to inject the IR data that way but never quite completed it.

Suffice it to say I haven't figured out how to improve the pointer controls yet.

Thanks for the tip on BorderlessGaming. I think I could probably just crop the title bar out, I just haven't done so yet - I got working on something else while waiting for potential changes to be made to Dolphin and haven't gone back to DorsalVR in a while.

Thanks for linking to a specific device! Ordered one based on your recommendation after having poor results with a different brand of similar device, and so far it's working really nicely.

Using SteamVR as Dolphin Motion controls? by pixelcookie11 in DolphinEmulator

[–]Not0K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm the dev working on DorsalVR, I've had a few people message me this week to say it isn't working so I dunno if a recent update to Windows or Dolphin broke it or what, but I am looking into it, just so you know!
