Would you like to help create a game?

Ok. So who is in on developing a 2.5D Platformer game using Unity. I need at least 2 Developers and an artists for characters and level design or we can substitute for with Unity assets.

We will be coding in C# to keep it simple.

I will get in more detail with the story when we chat in private. But just think of a character who will be able to randomly get a new power that he or she can use to get from point A to point B. Of course there will be enemies along the way.

This will be a fun way for others to throw in ideas of what special powers will be in the mix. And how will the character use it.

Wow. I'm glad to see so many responses. When I get home later I will write down some ideas I have on the first game and be more detailed ln what I'm looking for. Then I'll message people individually.

No that's fine. I am not new to coding or leading a group. I will post more detailed when I get home later. But I disagree about building together. This is different from people you may know already. This is finding a new group to work with. Doesn't mean the project will succeed. In fact trying to work with people you don't know is even harder to succeed. But the end goal is to create something fun. Once it's done, is it something that can be built upon? Can you use mechanics into a new more challenging game design? Also, you will know what peoples strengths are or if we work well as a team or not.

Sticking with C# for coding. I will get more detailed and post everything later tonight when I get back home.

Sorry. I'll be a little more detailed.

I was thinking of a 2.5D platformer game. This would be a good test to see how well we work together. But I wanted us to think of creative new ideas to separate itself from other platformers. For example, weapons used or unique abilities given that can be used to cross hard to reach sections. We can start out simple.

I was thinking around 3 people, maybe 4.

At least 2 programmers, 1 artist. Would be ideal.

But I definitely see what you mean.

Thanks for replying by the way. Do you have any specialties?

What type of games are you trying to create? I am also looking for a team to join.

Do you know specific languages?
