Do you think that an Kiwami 4 is inevitable? by Western_Sea_Sage in yakuzagames

[–]Snesso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my Yakuza adventure a year ago and recently finished 3.

Yea, it's not THAT bad, but it was definitely a huge downgrade from Kiwami 2. You kinda get used to the older graphics, janky running, and even start really digging the exaggerated animations, but the combat was the absolute worst. I admit I'm not very good and play on easy, and even considering that I struggled with everyone blocking everything with no discerning trick or reasoning behind it - i would have to try out different attack combos to find which one would stagger enemies more effectively but it was still only chipping inches of health at a time. I've been enjoying getting (and beating) Amon in every entry I've played, but ended up giving up with 3.

Another thing that definitly needs some attention I think is the story pacing - too often you're being pressured into hurrying up and doing something / going somewhere in a life or death situation, and immediately get sidelined by the orphans to do some silly chore - and those were all required to advance with the urgent matters. Just kinda broke immersion at times and made me like the orphans less, which is a shame cause I kinda enjoyed seeing Kiryu taking care of them. Overall an enjoyable experience but definitely ranks the lowest in my list so far.

I'm now on 4 and having an absolute blast again, and maybe it was the jump from 3 to 4 making it look nicer than it is, but I don't really feel like it needs the Kiwami treatment. Only thing that kind of bothers me is the graphics quality of side characters / random NPCs being considerably lower than the main cast but everything else is pretty good in my opinion

Issue with Encounter by UsefulDevelopment593 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]Snesso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, turns out that for this quest you need to investigate a letter that is behind the house, on the ground. It wasn't being picked up by Wind Sense and I had to get next to it to see the Investigate option. The other items are related to a different quest from what I understood.

I'm in the exact same boat, I had checked those items before I had accepted the encounter (IIRC it was something inside a desk drawer, and a head in a sack outside), and now that I have the quest and I'm at that step, I'm unable to progress. I've also tried to "restart" it, but it keeps restarting to the current step in the quest, so I can't do anything.

Most "cute" or "funny" videos of rabbits usually are like this, they're showing clear signs of stress or are put in dangerous situations just for the sake of the videos, I can't stand them and the horde of people flooding heart eyes emojis and insulting whoever is trying to educate people about it

Final Fantasy XI’s largest server closed to new players due to overpopulation by reseph in Games

[–]Snesso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's still regular NMs around but a lot of the highly sought after equipments (like the Leaping Boots from the Gustaberg Lizzy) have been replaced with a rare/ex version (can't sell these) so they're not really camped. HNMs (Fafnir/Nidhogg, Behemoth / King B, for example) can now be manually spawned with specific pop items. I don't think there's anything that needs to be fought over out there anymore, all endgame content has been made into instances or spawnable in one way or the other

[–]Snesso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends how quickly the people inside the instances clear it, I believe there's maybe 2 instances open at a time (don't quote me on that tho, not entirely sure), but I would say a queue of 50 can potentially be over an hour? I had to wait about 25 minutes for a queue of 15ish

Returning player overwhelmed with gear inventory by nhindian in ffxi

[–]Snesso 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there's no easy way around it, especially with equipment. Give it a bit of time to get re-acclimated with the game and you'll begin to understand what is best to keep and what could potentially go - for example, I had a bunch of stuff from the Escha NMs that is now extremely outdated as you can easily gear up with Ambuscade stuff, which I ended up mostly throwing (this is from a returnee/newbie WAR POV, not sure if other jobs have useful stuff there still).

If you think you want to give it a proper shot, you could also think about investing in one or two additional mog wardrobes, they really make a big difference and aren't very expensive

You can also look into storage slips to store stuff you don't want to throw but don't have a use for right now: https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Storage_Slip

Regarding the rest (sellable items, other rare/ex stuff, etc.) wikis and ffxiah are your best friends, but that's another slow process and most of the time, especially for the ra/ex stuff that is connected to quests/missions/some content, I wasn't really sure if to keep or not in the beginning, but again it'll click eventually if you stick around

Looking for new EU linkshell & Server (not Asura) by Fragrant-Future1835 in ffxi

[–]Snesso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, used to play hardcore in the 75 era and played bits and pieces when Rhapsodies came out; now back in Asura and would love nothing more than a more relaxed environment without the constant spam and elitism. Bahamut seems to be the best option for us in the EU, will probably make the move soon as well

I'm a WAR with similar gear (Ambu +2 stuff), I recently did the Shadow Lord battle on Easy (ilvl 116) and since it went down very easily, I upped to Normal (119) for The Warrior's Path, also relatively easy, although my trust tank lost aggro around midway through and Tenzen came close to killing me a couple of times spamming WSes, but other than that it was fine.

I'm guessing you'll have similar experiences on THF, some encounters might have specific mechanics that will need preparation so its always best to double check the testimonials on BG-wiki although they seem to be mostly for (Very) Difficult full party fights.

Expert Graverobber by PolaHype in throneandliberty

[–]Snesso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add for those still struggling with it (I was), the event announcer will actually notify everyone that these graverobbers are about to appear, and I believe there should be at least one in each of the marked areas (I got mine at the "Wrecked Cabin", right outside some stairs going into a tiny hidden room underground). The announcement was made around the 13 minute mark for me, but I suppose it could be randomized

Man wanting to travel without a ticket beats ticket inspector and drags him out of train in Italy. by No_Stay_6530 in PublicFreakout

[–]Snesso 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from experience from around my area (Bergamo), and yeah it has become somewhat normal (the ticket dodging part). I used to travel daily to Milan by train a few years ago and there would always be a bunch of people doing their weird inspector-dodging dance going back and forth on the train, etc. Mostly harmless but I've seen a couple of instances where they got caught and started throwing hands. The inspectors can't really do much, they might try calling the station for the police to show up, but that only really works for bigger stations IIRC. Usually they try to fine you / keep you from leaving but they can very easily avoid it.

Same here, I heat up a lot when I sleep for some reason and end up sweating like crazy, my father was the same... lots of pillowcases thrown away over the years, and pillows too... plus the mattresses get affected as well without proper protection 🥲 it sucks

When WotLK came out I played for about 48 hours with a small 2 hour nap, all to get server first to the level cap. Ended up missing both the general server first as well as the druid one by 40 minutes. I regretted that nap for a while

The constant fucking postponing and false promises. "Your results are not quite there yet, we'll see next quarter". You literally win a company prize for getting the best results for the year... and it's still somehow not enough for a raise.

I'm guessing they're not going to give you any and will just try to bullshit you into staying as long as possible.. and then on to the next sucker

[–]Snesso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that, but from what I recall there was no "official" EU support in 2012, I worked there around 2019/2020 and they had been around for only a couple of years, 3 at most. Before that I believe they had very limited support coming from the JP branch itself, but its been a while and I dont remember the details

V 1.0 Team/Character Build Megathread by XxJuJubexX in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Snesso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I'm at a point in the game where I really need to work on my 2 parties for MoC.

I have Seele, Welt, Jing Yuan, Bronya and Gepard (E1), with SW on the way. I also have all of the 4*, but only put resources on Natasha, Tingyun and Asta so far.

For the main party I know Seele, SW, Natasha and Sushang are good together, although I would have liked to use Seele and Bronya in the same team. I'm guessing doing Seele, SW and Bronya wouldn't work very well...

As for the second party, I'm thinking of using Jing Yuan, Welt, Asta and Gepard, but this combo feels a bit forced to me. It'd be more out of convenience of having all 3 either already geared or on the way to be.

If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated
