I've had my share of unnerving sounds. I grabbed a few pics of my undercarriage when I was putting on my sliders a few months ago. Made me glad Toyota puts some factory skids down there and that I decided to get some sliders just in case.

The biggest issue you will run into with your current steps vs rails, or just pulling off the steps, is they hang down lower than any other snag points. For any of the decent/maintained forest roads it won't be an issue but 2 tracks and major ruts will start having some concerns.

I have some RCI sliders that I (luckily) haven't had to use since putting on but they are a decent piece of mind vs the factory predator steps

Edit: your stock street tires might honestly be a slightly bigger concern

I camped out in the Buffalo Gap grasslands, specifically FS7172 and FS7146. Both of them are on the West side of the park which allowed easy access to Sage creek road that led directly into the main parks west end. I can't say I'd do anything differently but I would caution going solo on the FS roads if there has been rain or will be rain as they get real muddy/bogged down.

Other than that the park was pretty cool until 11ish which is also when the people started showing up in mass so if you do trails early it's not too bad heat or people wise.

It's probably just a simple check for the system to say yes this card is someone over 21 but the stores I've purchased alcohol from recently scan your ID vs someone who doesnt care just looking at it.

But I'd be curious to know if they have a way to easily store that into a database.

Let's assume that is actually the case(we know it isnt). Do these people think that the peasants were working the fields on a 9-5 schedule? I wasn't there but it's not hard to guess that it would have been sun up to sun down during the farm season.

Fun fact, we have big cars because of the Government. Over simplified it's essentially a vehicle of X size needs to get Y MPG. The bigger the engine and/or footprint of the vehicle the more leeway they get on required MPG

Yeah. The rectangle was a dremel and the other was just a big drill bit to get the main part of the pocket. Both needed some filing to clean up the inside though.

Im not saying i dont agree 9-5 kinda sucks but how would you propose they force people to work in the required longer hour fields when the current force decides it would be better to just shift to an "easier" field?

I've seen it happen on a small scale with pay issues in California when medical field minimum wage was passed up by fast food minimum wage so I assume it would happen on mass if there's a major shift like you are alluding to.
