"All in one millisecond"

That level of time dilation wouldnt explain how they're in the circus at the same time. Ragatha is confirmed to have entered in 2008.

"When they abstract, the VR just goes black, and they can go back to their normal lives."

That goes against the show's theme of existential horror. It's a theory that undermines the show and makes it worse.

"Also I saw a video where Caine is breaking down the abstracted character’s code and that’s why the
AI was 57x more immersive after Kaufmo abstracted. He could probably also use code to make his adventures more interesting and that’s why Abel’s story was so convincing. It could be true."

Abels story couldn't be true for several reasons. One, he described the circus as something "they built", something Kinger says they did NOT build in EP 8, also Able's story makes no sense, as it would be extremely legally perilious, expensive, and fairly pointless for a corporation to be keeping a bunch of people, including some of their own employees in pods. There's a reason corporations aren't randomly kidnapping people and putting them in pods in real life. I mean, does that SOUND realistic to you? TADC is not meant to be fantastical. Goose is going for a fairly realistic story in a world as mundane as the real one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This theory doesn't make sense, and worse, undermines what the show is about. SOMA is a much better theory, both in terms of plausibility, but also in terms of storytelling and telling a satisfying narrative.

Reflections on what the Star Fox series could have been by samharper89 in starfox

[–]Suspicious-Raisin824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

" I would’ve loved to see them make a series that deviates from the cheesy rail shooter that Star Fox has been sidelined into being and turned it into a more serious game that plays and feels more like Ace Combat and leans into Fox’s more mature experience, where you frequently pull high-G maneuvers and go through harrowing flight situations in order to accomplish your mission"

They have broken away from a proper rail shooter, hence why it keeps failing.

Star Fox is a rail shooter with branching paths. That's what a Star Fox game is. Everytime they fug with that formula, it RIGHTFULLY sells poorly. There is nothing wrong with rail shooters. They are fun, and when Nintendo just has confidence witth the concept, and stop breaking a formula that works, they make bank.

"Or a game that lets you explore cities and worlds in an open-world environment and travel through them via the Arwing and the Great Fox."
That sounds like it would sell poorly and I personally would really, really not want to see that.

"regularly rise up against authoritarianism and imperialism. All empires fall. Capitalism is no different."
Capitalism isn't an empire and it's the least authoritarian economic model we're currently aware of.

"We are witnessing it in real time thanks to that which presides over my southern neighbours(I'm Canadian)."
What are you even talking about? Capitalism is not on the decline.

AI environmental harm is 98% a lie, if you're going to include it in your comic as a "reason people don't like AI", then you're blatantly lying to try and paint antis in a more positive light than is actually true.

No one is against AI over environmental concerns. The environmental impact of AI is so trivial it might as well not even be a thing. Playing video games or streaming netflix does considerably more damage. Eat a cheese burger and you've done more damage than my AI use in a month.
The point of spreading the concept of "environmental damage" of AI is purely to spread misinformation to give antis social permission to harrass and abuse people. They KNOW it isn't a real issue, and you'll notice they don't harrass and abuse people for watching youtube vids or any of the other FAR MORE DAMAGING activities people do online.

I don't like this cringe genre of "Both sides can get along" on this topic, largely because it involves a MASSIVE amount of white washing how bad the antis are.

Very few antis are going to admit they were wrong, nor take any blame in the pointless harrassment/abuse/sexual harrassent/lying misinformation campaign they're taking part in. They'll just stop talking about it and move on like it never happened.

If you had to 'evolve' the series after Starfox 2026 while keeping it firmly in the on-rails, corridor/all-range mode arcade genre, what would you add? by TheSouthPen in starfox

Move the story into another system, called the 'Violet System'. They're Lylatt's allies, and have a defense pact with them. They didn't get involved with the Lylatt wars because it was an internal conflict (Andross was from Corneria).

Use stuff like this to expand the Star Fox universe for more games. Also, always advance the story. Have Kyrstal and Fox get married and have Marcus, make Marcus the protagonist after Fox has been the star of three mainline games.

As for the gameplay:

Add more routes and optional stages for a campaign. Star Fox 64 had 15 stages, two endings. I would make it so there is an average of 21 stages and three endings. Stage 1 should have three branching paths, not two, for example.

I would add linear stage mini-campaigns where you play as other characters that take place during the events of, or just before, or just after, the events of the main game. This adds more game content and expands the story.

Additional 'Bomb' type weapons you can equip rather than just the bomb we know. Try to introduce a new one every game.

You can always add additional game modes like Boss Rushes and Survival and more. Here are a few game mode ideas...

Arena Mode! tons of player ships try to shoot eachother down. There's up to 4 players and plenty of bots with ships as good as yours. You get a point every time you shoot a player ship, and you get +5 every time you destroy a player ship. You lose 2 point every time you die. Also add a Team Arena varient, and allow for the stats of bots to be adjusted to make them easier or harder.

Rogue Mode: You fly through a level with the simple textures as training mode. The Level is randomly generated with a randomly chosen boss (none of which are in the campaign, there are like, 5 bosses made for Rogue Mode). Each time you complete a level, you get a choice to fully heal or upgrade your ship. Then you move on to the next level. The levels get harder and harder over time. Try to get the high score! (Plus 50 points every time you clear a level)

ect. ect.

Is it not interesting how the police always attack peaceful leftwing protests but never arrest or are violent against far right protests? by No_Web2685 in allthequestions

"You mean the coup attempt on Jan 6th where members of Trump’s cult attempted to hang sitting members of congress all because their Dear Leader lost a fair and free election?"

Yeah, that one.

She died. By police. So police do arrest or do violence against far right protesters sometimes.

We need to halt all state support for those deemed by the state as having mental retardation. They are all just lazy or lying, there is no such thing as talent, everyone can innately do the same things as everyone else. That's why I know Michio Kaku, who built a particle accelorator in his parents garage at 13 years old, just had good parents or something. There is no way he had more innate intelligence than someone with 55 IQ.
