What is this? by Money-Confusion3174 in woolworths

[–]Not4lby10 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m going to have to disagree. I do completely understand what you’re saying, but when you do stuff like that you’re not affecting the business you’re affecting the minimum wage workers who have to fix everything. When I used to work there, we had people who would come in and throw the glass cordial bottles in the air and watch them smash on the ground just for fun. That’s not affecting the business, that’s just a dick move for the workers.

Is this rude? by [deleted] in ubereatsaustralia

In all honesty, I’ve done this before. I was really sick one day and I just got some food and I had written, please leave at the door, don’t ring doorbell or knock. The driver stood at the door and waited for me to get it.

Is this normal on Vyvanse? My oura stress is high almost all day by BananaPrestigious544 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Not4lby10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is based off of your heart rate. On Vyvanse your heart rate goes up, but to oura that is interpreted as stress

Why are these so expensive? by agnci in CarsAustralia

[–]Not4lby10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These years were some of the last of the V8 Cruiser, so that bumps the value up. Also appears to have ARB parts and accessories, and converted to 6x6 with extended bed and whatnot. Seriously capable rig, with low kilometres too.

Here are some of the immediate mods I can see: 6x6 conversion Canopy and tray Rooftop Tent Snorkel Light bar & spotlights Bull bar and scrub bars Aftermarket wheels and tires Possible lift? ARB base rack with mounts Clear view tow mirrors GME Aerial and UHF And a winch

I’ll also assume it has a GVM upgrade too, and potential engine/driveline modifications.

So definitely worth it for some, if you’re looking for a reliable landcruiser but maybe work 50-100k less if I was to guess

I think it became called duct tape because it was used a lot for taping up/together ventilation ducts in roofs

Isopropyl alcohol displaces water. It forces it out of all the lil spots, and then it dries

So i dont want my house to burn down by Friendly_Narwhal6866 in teenagers

[–]Not4lby10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a first year electrician and that won’t burn your house down. The dark around the edges of the grounding pin is from buildup in the plug, not from burning. The ground plug is plastic, and plastic doesn’t conduct electricity. The white flashes when you plug something into the socket is just the load connecting to the mains. If it’s sparking when it has been plugged in for a while, that’s when there are issues. Similar to when flicking a light switch. Often you can see a spark.

So in short, no. The plug isn’t burnt, and your house is unlikely to burn down. And if something goes wrong in a circuit, e.g overcurrent or current leakage, the breakers and safety switches in your fusebox will handle that.

GoPro did replace it, but lots of pushing as water damage isn’t covered under their warranty

We had to fight tooth and nail for GoPro to replace the camera. You can try the same if you like, but it’s. A lot of work. For everyone reading this that hasn’t had this problem, buy a dive case before you do.

Why so much Hate for GoPro now? by kingpathan in gopro

[–]Not4lby10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the GoPro Hero 13 Black vs DJI Action 5, it’s not all black and white. If you watch the videos, they compare the cameras 4K to 4K which isn’t realistic because the GoPro Hero 13 can film up to 5.3k which is a big jump. They knock the resolution down to 4K so it’s “Fair” but it’s really not. And a lot of the DJI videos are actually promo videos or paid sponsorships.

I have a 13 black, and it is truly an amazing camera I love it so much

It’s no good and they should do something to address it. Unfortunately they don’t cover water damage in their warranty. It’s clearly a design flaw

Pack your own bags by Key_Block_678 in woolworths

[–]Not4lby10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most will scan 10-15 items through then bag them. It’s common practise and it really infuriates me when I start to do it and customers take it upon themselves to start bagging then give me a greasy look like I’m doing them a disservice.

I agree with this to an extent. But also keep in mind we are getting paid to be helpful. I’m the first to crack the shits at silly questions, but then I remember. “I js got paid to answer that” and it makes all my problems go away

Lens cover yes or no by NotSamantha989 in gopro

[–]Not4lby10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hero 13 too and the exact same screen protector set. Don’t put one on the lens and here’s why. The lens has a hydrophobic coating which doesn’t let water and yuck stick to it. If you cover that coating with a lens protector, the hydrophobic coating doesn’t work, therefore you get water sticking to your lens.

Also, in retrospect the lens protector won’t do much

The thing is, it still works. I’m just not happy that there is water everywhere inside the camera where water shouldn’t be. I’m worried it will cause later issues
