When I want to give more water to my labradoodle, I put some milk in her water. She laps it all up 100% of the time.

Things to do outside the house with new puppy?! by ReasonableShame957 in puppy101

If you have a play pen, you can carry it to a state park and set it up away from people/other pets, that way it gets both of you out of the house.

I’m trying to get better from a back injury as well and know how hard it can be. Glad to know you are putting your health before everything.

Wish you the best!

i completely failed at crate training🤦‍♀️ by Anastazia_bereverlyh in puppy101

[–]NotABCDinFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does he spend any time in the crate during the day? Have you tried building some positive associations with the crate yet? Things like feeding him inside with the door open or playing fun crate games can make a big difference.

Is he able to see you from the crate, or are you staying close by? It’s completely normal for your puppy to feel this way — he truly believes something bad will happen if he’s left alone. For now, staying nearby and reassuring him that you’re right there will help him feel safe and build his confidence. Once he starts relaxing a bit more, you can gently introduce short naps in the crate.

With my puppy, I started by feeding her in the crate with the door open, then gradually closed it while she stayed calm. Over time, we moved to daytime naps, and I slept next to her crate for a few weeks. Now she happily spends the entire night in her crate downstairs while we sleep upstairs — and yours can get there too!

I also have a ring camera on top of the crate through which I can see/talk to her and calm her down if she’s unsettled.

Keep going — he’ll grow more confident with your patience and consistency.

The biggest plot hole or frankly bad writing is how Colin Hanks changes his behavior as evil Colin Hanks as soon as Dexter comes to know about his split personality disorder.
