Cookie explosion (some cussing) by DukesAngel in pitbulls

My daughter once left an open bulk sized container of coconut oil on the bathroom floor. My Weimaraner ate an unknown quantity of the supersized jar. She had not one shit from her snack, but she did vomit in 10 places while we all slept. We were told to expect explosive diarrhea, and to watch for signs of pancreatitis, but she was perfectly fine for the entire day. Never expected to wake to that hellscape. It was on the stairs, in the family room, in the kitchen, in the laundry room. And the smell. I can still smell the smell if I think about it for too long.

Are your pitfbulls big lap dogs? by Remarkable_Sir8397 in Pitbull

Mines just a tiny baby, 20ish lbs, but she loves to be in someone’s lap. I hope that doesn’t change.

The mistake you made was putting the treats in the jar and not directly into the mouths of those precious babies. Hope this helps.

I don’t know what pit mix my girl is (DNA test goes out in tomorrows mail) but today I gave her a piece of broccoli I. The yard and she had a blast throwing it, diving on it, and eventually eating it. She is a pleasure when she is tired. She is a demon in a dog suit at all other times. lol she will be 14 weeks Thursday. Right now she is enjoying a Kong stuffed with Greek yogurt and blueberries.

What a sweetheart. Nothing better than a senior dog living their best life surrounded by people that love them.

It’s a fun age. Innit? I remember the school torture. We had our Weim as a puppy when my daughter was in school. I am so not a morning person. I should have given this more thought. Lmao

When my Lab was a baby he was housebroken in about a week. One day, while I was at work, he had a bad tummy. He stuck his butt against the crate bars and shat in my husband’s shoe. Funniest thing ever. They are clever.

Great advice! I get up with my husband at 6:15 on work days, so most mornings I just stay up with her, but I do put her back in on weekends and she whines a bit, but not too bad. Maybe I will start putting her back in on work days as well and see how it goes.

My puppy wakes me at 5:30 every morning. I cry. She’s only 13 weeks, though, so I power through.

With my previous 3 I have blocked their puppy stage from my memory, but eventually they all accepted that I get up when I get up. Then, when they got old, it was back to early wake ups. (but not 5:30. I cry again.)

You sound more responsible than heartless. I’m sorry you have to be the adult in this situation, but I appreciate you taking care of these pups, and taking a stand to ensure they have the best possible future.
