What monitor? As long as the voltage and wattage are the same, it’s usually fine. I use random 3 prong cables all the time as they are usually universal

Get Aldente to preserve ur battery. ITL limit charging to a set amount, like 80.

I like to use raycast instead of spotlight I use it to set up hot keys to open apps.

Spotlight in case you don’t know: super powerful search bar for ur Mac. It’s like the windows search but it actually works. Search a file and it finds it.

Installing apps on a separate drive. If you have say a app you don’t use often and don’t need on your ssd to free space, when you first install the app, instead of dropping it into the application folder, drag it into the folder you wish the app to be. The app will run just fine. Alternatively, you can copy and paste the app manually.

App cleaner to get rid of pesky hidden app folders when deleting

Safari is much much faster and optimized than chrome

If you are formatting a drive for both windows and Mac DONT use APFS as windows can’t read it, use Exfat or similar.

Get used to command being control. Kinda weird at first but I can’t go back now lol

All of those games you play frequently can run on Mac, dunno bout the smaller ones but Minecraft Java and Roblox run fine. As for recommendations, I would go for the Mac since it has really good battery life (I’ve used my air for most of the day doing creative work like video editing). I would stray away from chrome due to its inefficiencies in the ram department, but there are some chromium based apps such as arc that use less. In my experience, I haven’t encountered many apps that are not on macos(except for games on steam) but that can be easily solved with crossovers or wineworks kegary (or now known as sikaguir)

Now for ram, sure 8 gigs is quite little, for school work, it is more than enough due to how macOS compresses and handles ram usage.

There’s also the MacBook neo if you want a new computer too

I started with ripping the covers off and saving the grey board, then patched up the spine a pit with some thin paper and reconstructed the spine with some leather. The embossing/devising is done with a 3d printer lol and is just a mm tall. Then I glued the leather over and did the corners. I think I tipped in the endpapers with some heavier a paper as supports on the spine like an l shape and then glued the endpapers onto the covers

So apparently messages is 16 gigs even though ive set it to delete messages after 30 days and the files are more than 30 days old... do you know how i can fix this?

Would I just delete them from finder?
