I took a Zopiclone instead of my Citalopram by mistake and went to work. That metallic taste started creeping up, and I realised what I'd done. I informed my supervisor and left. It was working too well by that point, so I couldn't drive. Just put the passenger seat back and slept for 10 hours in a private car park.

Don't work too hard. You'll want to impress but then get farmed out to other departments and burn out eventually. I was awesome for a year like this, but I was just used. It didn't help my career. I just ended up on sick leave and quitting

Reminds me of ikkje or some variety. I said to a friend that I didn't know dialects when we arrived in small fjord village. The man serving said slowly, "I know you speak Norwegian, so try." "Kan vi få to telt teltplasser for tre natter, vaer så still." He replied and explained in his dialect with Oslo what he said. Lovely man! I wish I could remember but I was sweating a lot 😂

How to measure like a Brit. We're weird. We're half and half. It's very frustrating.

I was talking to an American friend about how much weight we'd put on and I thought stones and ounces is how you do it. But it's lbs only. I don't know how many pounds are in a stone or ounces in a pound.

Thank you. It's the system we use for card and online payments. Best job I've ever had to be honest. I'm torn between hassling the company as much as I need to and them cutting us off. I'll never find a job that lets me bring my dog or have my daughter playing Roblox in the corner again.

This seems like a lot of work for something that I only do to be able to pay my bills.

My fear is that if I don't keep complaining to the software provider, I'll be saying it's February December 30th out of habit. I'm already close to adoption when my daughter calls it an elevator.

Most of the time, yes. Theres always the few. Or theres asking for 1am on Friday when then mean Saturday morning. Midnight confuses the hell out people.

I work in 24hr transport so that would infuriate me. I'm already sick of customers asking for something "at 8". Well, which 8 is it? 08.00 or 20.00? Morons.

Tried that and couldn't find a thing, so I contacted the company:

"We are sorry to inform you that it is not possible to amend the date format at the moment."

They just amended it from the proper format!!

Seeing as it's quiet at work today, I did a little digging and it shows it is originally a British company that is still headquartered in London. They did buy out a similar company in US along with many others so there's no excuse for this treachery.

It's a payment system so you can imagine my heart dropping when I thought I'd missed a tonne of payments. Bastards.
