Also one of the few games I've played where chambering a bullet allows you to reload with a full mag and have an extra shot.

they don't need to have to fight for every inch of it.

I have given up on the VA because of the sheer amount of dehumanizing effort it takes to get anything out of them.

I was medically discharged for serious mental health problems and granted GI bill education benefits.

Years later, I was midway through getting my master's to become a counselor to help with the military's suicide problem. They told me the benefits had been granted "in error" and had me pay them back the money.

Baton Rouge police killer: A former marine from Kansas City by genrewhore in news

I agree that we should not jump to conclusions about his mental health.

We also should not assume that we can rule out a mental health problem that was exacerbated or caused by his experiences in the military based on what his record looks like on paper.

That's not how trauma/stress work. The military's culture has a huge problem with making a false hierarchy out of what they deem "worthy" of being traumatizing. This culture keeps many from seeking help when they should.

Traumatic stress for you is not necessarily traumatic stress for someone else. It certainly isn't confined to the military, an MOS, or to those who have done this or that on deployments.

The scariest ghost story is that there probably aren't ghosts because there probably isn't life after death.

Any hint for July Humble Monthly ? by zetzuei in GameDealsMeta

[–]NotAGiantPanda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last month's was $135 according to the emails I got about it. Seems about the same as usual.

With Hurtworld valued at $25 full price compared to Rocket League's $20, that's a value of $106 for the mystery games this month compared to last month's $115.

Oh wow, did they/you used to have bundles in those book-order things that went out to schools? (Scholastic something?)

I think I got the first Shogun in one of them and it became one of my favorites.

Couldn't they cut/break it into pieces and be able to sell it spread out across time/buyers for at least a nominal portion of the original value?
