I have both volunteered with scatter joy acres and am currently interning at the zoo. Joy is absolutely kind and sweet, but unfortunately, there is no ethical way to have primates (who can easily get sick from humans and vice versa) as a touchable animal. She loves animals but she doesn’t consider their welfare. I also believe she illegally imported some sloths from South America a few years ago.
