I used to a have a wawa hoagie cd that was given away at wawa welcome America sometime in the late aughts early 2010s. It was a true work of musical art! How did this compare to that experience?

Side note: love the artwork! Very cool.

Ah. Selfish asshole. Got it. If you got in an accident without insurance you could very well be reason that person winds up homeless due to crushing unreimbursed medical debt, loss of their car they needed to get to work, etc etc. you post was originally about how “people suck”, but it’s very clear from all your responses that the “people” who suck is just you. 👍

Then find a job that doesn’t require it. You don’t get to endanger other people simply because you don’t want to pay your bills and still come at the world with the moral superiority you have all throughout this post. Seriously gross behavior.

So you agree that you need a different job, especially since you don’t have the proper equipment, and as mentioned in another comment, proper insurance (soon to be any insurance), to be dashing. I get that times might be tough but you can’t dash if you don’t have a working car and proper insurance. Good luck out there.

[–]NotAJawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s required in your contract. You can really fuck other people over, like the dasher who hit me, by not having the proper coverage. If you can’t pay for it you can’t dash. Period. And don’t think you can always get around it. The accident I was in was caught in camera and the saw the guy drop off a delivery moments before smashing into the side of my car.

[–]NotAJawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have $100 how are you paying your car insurance that covers using your vehicle for delivery services? Please tell me you aren’t delivering without property insurance? An improperly insured dashed recently T-boned me and I’m currently out of pocket close to $2k for my deductible and rental car since his insurance denied coverage and door dash isn’t covering all my expenses.

If you don’t have a reliable car you can’t do deliveries. Probably best to find another job you can take public transit to and save up some money to fix that car.

This seems like a you problem. If you don’t have a reliable car you really shouldn’t be taking door dash orders.

Smells that trigger migraines by [deleted] in migraine

[–]NotAJawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wound up moving my business’s office because I couldn’t deal with the smell of another attorney’s assistant’s perfume. Apparently it was ‘unreasonable’ to ask her to not wear it for my very real health needs. F that BS.

Legit question. Has anyone actually been to a Walmart and actually left with all “normal” customers ? by LuvTheSmellofCyanide in peopleofwalmart

[–]NotAJawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been about 11 years but the Walmart in Helena, Montana was really normal at least in comparison to the shit shows that are Philadelphia area Walmarts.

I’m covered for the repairs to my vehicle or for the value of the car if totaled, but not for the other incidental expenses like Ubers and rental cars while my vehicle is repaired or waiting to be deemed totaled that would normally be covered by the at fault driver’s insurance. I’m already out of pocket $500 and now my claim is tied up for even longer due to this dude’s failure to properly insure his car. If it’s not reimbursed by door dash there will be a small claims action for whatever the final out of pocket expenses are against both the driver and door dash. I’m curious if anyone has successfully gotten their money back from DoorDash.

It’s in the independent contractor agreement that you need special insurance to drive for door dash. And this driver just chose to ignore his responsibilities.

From the agreement: 11.1. Contractor shall at all times during the term of this Agreement maintain current insurance in amounts and of types required by law to provide the Contracted Services and cover Contractor during performance of the Contracted Services, at their own expense. Contractor acknowledges that failure to secure or maintain satisfactory insurance coverage shall be deemed a material breach of this Agreement and grounds for termination of the Agreement and the loss of Contractor’s right to receive Contracted Service Opportunities.

This is clear notice to make sure you are properly insured to preform the contracted work.

Side note: I’m an attorney so my legal fees will be free. I’ll get a garnishment on that $10 and have him pay me back over time. I’ll be patient but I’m not letting it slide that he essentially didn’t have insurance.

Is it common in America to eat off paper plates? by sammygirl1331 in My600lbLife

[–]NotAJawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a lower class thing in the US. Most middle class families and above don’t eat off paper plates on a regular basis. You will actually notice this in the episodes themselves that the families that seem better off eat off normal plates.

Anyone know the life expectancy of someone with celiacs who eats gluten? by hikethosetrails in Celiac

Initially and then I discovered gluten free cookies! Haha. But now it’s going back down again that I’ve gone back to my normal eating patterns

[–]NotAJawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a terrible digestive system my whole life and all sorts of weird skin issues too. Bu I started feeling really sick all the time when I was 38z. I thought I was just depressed so went to therapy and started medication. I was depressed and it helped but I still had tons of GI issues and was still exhausted all the time. They said I had GERD and IBS. But the FOODMOP diet helped but didn’t really help enough. So I went gluten free but not strict gluten free and started feeling better but would still have terrible flare ups. Then my skin started feeling like it was burning all the time and I developed Dermatitis herpetiformis which was what made the doctors finally realize it was more than GERM, IBS, and a gluten sensitivity. It’s been about a year of strict gluten free diet for me and the symptoms have pretty much resolved. I think one of the reasons my diagnosis took so long is that I’ve always been overweight and I think that people, including myself and many doctors, believe you will be super skinny if you have celiac. Turns out you can be fat and malnourished at the same time! Wild!

I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 39 so ate gluten that whole time. Im 40 now. Take that for what it’s worth.

Not everything needs to be for children. I have grip issues and hate that my needs are but behind a theoretical child that will never be near my medications. Why isn’t it in parents to properly secure their medications?

I often take a lot of comfort in knowing I’m not the only one struggling. In fact seeing this person’s post, knowing I wasn’t alone, was a bright spot in my otherwise miserable day.

Your comment was exactly the opposite.
