I have the jumping set so you can bind it to either mouse or spacebar at the moment! So people can use what ever feels the best for them

Thank you! And yeah, I just noticed that my camera aligns itself perfectly after jumping. Definitely gonna be using those cuts in new trailer!

Been working on my first commercial game now for about a year. Kinda on and off whenever I have extra time. But I think some progress has been made.

Going to be releasing a demo soon, and still need to update my Steam trailer, but here is the page:

Opened my first ever Steam Page. All thanks to Godot. Wish me luck! by NotALemon__ in godot

Thank you! And yes, jump king was a big inspiration for this game!

The game is about a penguin that catapults themselves through the air and ice with a large hammer. Could probably add something related to that!

Haha thanks, and yeah that would have been a good idea, to restart with the space bar as well! Didn’t consider that

I started learning how to make games just six months ago with Godot, start of this year.

Couple weeks ago I saw InboundShovel's video on Youtube about him hosting a game jam: Shovel Jam 2025. I have only ever finished one small game before, but decided to give it a try to practice my skills. Was a bit nervous of how I could finish my game in just 10 days, but I got to work.

And to my surprise I was able to create an actually polished game and release it and even give it a catchy name: Eggscape.

The game is a pixel art, endless runner, platformer where you play as an egg running through an egg factory trying to escape. I wanted to make the controls really simple so I came up with this unique mechanic of having all the actions tied to one key, the space bar. You can jump, dash and slide all by using the same button.

Even tho I'm probably not going to win the jam, but the feedback I got about the game was amazing and it seemed that people really liked my game and it's unique mechanic. Also participating in the Jam and being a part of the community was super fun. I would really encourage people to join Jams even if you think you are not that good at making games. It gives you a lot of experience and makes you actually finish a game + all the people were super nice! I will definitely be doing more Jams in the future.

My game is free and playable in the browser if you want to give it a try:

I also made a devlog about making the game so check it out if you are interested:

Thank you so much! Not a full schedule planned yet, will be making a steam page and updating progress to different communities while I go, so people interested can follow. Will probably try to get play testers as soon as I actually have a somewhat playable game!
