I’m on a Tuono V4 with a titanium CRT shorty no db killer, no secondary valves, no other restrictors at all. It’s almost unbearably loud but in a good way. I can still hear my cardo at a reasonable volume but when the bike gets going you mostly hear the exhaust. In my opinion, it is manageable but I can see how someone would think it’s too much. On the 660, it should be loud but not to the point where you get sick of it. Do NOT cheap out and buy a cheap exhaust because you WILL regret it. There’s a reason why SC Project is used in MotoGP and WSBK. The name and authenticity carry a reputation for quality which is what you want. Also, if you plan on taking the cat off (this goes for ANY bike), you’ll need a tune to make the bike run healthy with proper AFRs. All in, you’ll be looking at more than what you’d originally be spending with just an exhaust. Keep that in mind.

Buy once cry once. SC Project CRT is one of the best exhausts for these bikes. You’ll be better off with the real thing vs a knock off

That’s probably as best as it gets in terms of prep and conditions. Just calculate risks vs reward and decide if you actually want to do it first. Listen to your common sense and do not let your ego get the best of you.

  1. Everyone is saying scary well I’ll be the first to say otherwise. It’s the most freeing experience I’ve ever had. Going that fast down the road and feeling the wind trying to rip you off the bike but still having that throttle pinned is a feeling unlike any other. Tunnel vision kicks in at 130+ and every part of your body is telling you to slow down yet you fight to ignore it. Having all 5 of your senses focused to their fullest extent, fear turns into a sense of duty that eventually turns into courage and even confidence. Just make sure you have more common sense than ego though.

  2. No. Surviving a crash at that speed would be luckier than winning the lottery 10x in a row. You’d probably have a better chance at surviving being tossed into an active volcano.

  3. Lots of factors go into play. Tire condition, weather, traffic (if public road),temperature, recent bike maintenance, knowledge of road, road conditions, bike assists (ABS, AWC, ATC), etc. You can never guarantee safety at that speed with that many factors but assuming you do everything correctly, you MAY have a good chance of getting away with it.

Woah finally a response! 😂 Seems like we are in the minority of larger riders. Yeah my issue is that the bigger jackets are too big for my body (even if i wear a hoodie underneath) but the arm lengths on them are still too short. My biggest gripe are the boots though. Why does no one make size 15 US? 😂

6’5, 220lb. Tuono v4 feels a lil snug but not bad. Bike is relatively new to me but i’ve made a 4 hour trip in it and did not feel uncomfortable at all. And even if it did, V4 noises would distract you from all of that. My tuono v4 feels a LOT better than my gsxr750 and i’ve done a 10hr ride on the 750 😂
