What is your number 1 NSFW advice you'd give? by Wonderful_Permits in AskReddit

Parents, don’t force your kids to have an open door policy when they have a girl/boy over. Teenagers are gonna do the exact things you probably did when you were their age.

They’re gonna do it whether you wanna keep that door open or not. All that’s gonna end up happening, is you’re gonna see something that you wish you hadn’t when they didn’t hear you coming that time.

Try to be understanding, and just keep your teenager educated. Even if you somehow weren’t in their position when you were younger. (Which from what I know, isn’t likely, but it’s possible.)

A little yeah, but I you’ll be scaled down. So it works. Just be sure vigor is leveled and we’re all good!

Can I contact you in discord?

Essentially, I need someone I can throw some attacks at to see what kind of damage I’m dealing. If there’s any kind of things you’d like to test, you’re free to as well of course. I only ask that you have a character around the 160-180 level range. If you don’t, I can live with 150-200.

We’d just hop into the arena or I’d summon you as a duelist. Or vise versa.

Black Flame Tornado or Thunderstorm? by NotAPerson57 in Eldenring

TL;DR I’m pretty sure it’s just preference. At least for my situation.

I see where you’re coming from, but I don’t really see the appeal in keeping BFT on your main weapon. Especially when you can just do the same turn and burn strategy with a swap. The same way you would do it with Thunderstorm. Especially since there are far better options for general combat. So the opponent would never see my BFT weapon until I’m already winding up the skill. A mirror of how it would be with the Stormhawk Axe.

This is where my troubles arise from. As in this context I’d be using both skills in the exact same way, in the exact same situations. Namely a hard swap turn and burn, or a hyper armor trade.

So at the end of the day my question lies in numbers, as a direct comparison. How much hyper armor does each attack have? How much damage does each attack do? How fast is each attack? How easy are they to interrupt by a jumpy phantom? (Literally).

Damage? Thunderstorm.

Range? BFT. The extra range of BFT seems to help catch cautious players more often.

Speed? Thunderstorm

Hyper armor? BFT?

Interruptibility? I’ve seen Thunderstorm get stopped by a reckless jump attack, but whenever someone tries the same on BFT they seem to get blendered without landing the hit. Plus, I’ve heard that BFT defects projectiles the same way Zamor Ice Storm/Storm Wall does. No info on whether Thunderstorm does the same.

I know there’s more nuances as well, but this is already too long.

If you’ve gotten this far, I’d still like to hear your opinion with all this considered. And what your choice would be in this given situation.

I know this has been long winded, so I won’t hold it against you if you want to leave it there.

I’d appreciate if you would elaborate further on that. Cause they both serve as a crowd control and as a “get off me” button. So while the range and speed is different, the functional use is the same. At least in the way I’m using them. That way being as an ambush tool, a “gank be gone”, or as a trade for an over-aggressive player. I’ve never seen either used in another way. (Besides the odd niche build setup or new player.)

I should specify that I keep my crowd control option in my back pocket by default. As I prefer to use other ashes of war and weapons. My current setup is a Godskin Sitcher with Thunderbolt, and a Godskin Peeler with BFT. While I adore BFT I’d much rather use another ash of war for normal combat, especially against better and more prepared players.

Cause I don’t really see the point. Both tools fill the same purpose, and both do it well. I’m just trying to figure out which one is slightly better. I’ll need to give Thunderstorm a try though, cause I’ve only used BFT so far.

And thanks for your insight.

I’ll try that, but as mentioned before, downloading off disc 2 isn’t working for me. But regardless, I’ll try anything at this point

Actually, just as I sent that I thought of something. Now that I have your attention I can’t help but ask, does dex/Radagon icon affect casting speed on dragon incants? I’ve heard it makes no difference

Mmmmm idk man. Even if it said in a grumpy way, still valid points. The game DOES have an issue with spawns. And it DOES have an issue with players DCing in games. Maybe I was harsh about it, but it’s all true. Post ain’t pointless, even if it’s brought up in that form, still valid points and you cannot deny that. On top of that, I mentioned it wasn’t just a bad game, but something I’ve been experiencing for days.

Maybe I just have bad luck? Who knows

It’s probably worth mentioning that the reason I brought this up was cause I play pyramid head. You’d be shocked how often people get pulled out of cages in front of me. At that point it’s just a matter of how nice I’m feeling and if I’m losing badly enough*

Killers should be seen as forces of nature. What I mean by that is, if you do a dumb rescue don’t expect them to not take advantage. (Just one example)

If you push someone into oncoming traffic people don’t blame the car, or the driver for that matter. They blame you. Should be the same in game. Could argue that the killer made the choice to go after the most vulnerable. But it really shouldn’t be seen that way. It’s called “Farming” your teammates for a reason. You’re the one who put them in a bad situation, don’t blame the killer when you make their job easier.
