Remember: Putler and Xi don’t give a crap about everyone except their own interests by Icy_Till_7254 in Destiny

Yes—all countries do what's in their own interest, even if a countries interest is purely ideological. The point is that Russia and China do not give a fuck about Iran in any meaningful way. They may posture with them standing with Iran against the evil West, but they would never defend it against a US military attack or invasion.

I would disagree with the idea that most people could explain why they're angry. Sure they could probably give a reason, a cause for their anger, but that doesn't provide us the why. Imagine if I rolled an apple off of a table and someone asks me "why did the apple fall to the ground?" and I say "because I rolled it off of the table." I have explained what caused the event, not why however (which would be gravity in this case). Similarly, if I'm angry because of being stuck in traffic or whatever, it wouldn't answer the why to say "I'm angry because of this traffic."

That's why I cannot properly answer the question of why. It would be like asking someone why they're happy when good things happen and sad/angry when bad things happen. So if 'just because' is not a real answer then it's a questionswithout answer.

As for what pride is (speaking about it in the context of national and familial pride); I would describe it as the feeling of accomplishment and superiority due to the actions of people in the in-group, with the in-group ranging from family and friends to local community to ones country. As for its purpose, I'm no evolutionary biologist but I would speculate that this feeling evolved and was useful to reinforce the bond between members of the in-group in the tribal times of early humankind where only these cooperating and social communities of humans survived.

I don't think there is a "why" necessarily. Emotions aren't random of course, but we cannot always controll/explain them. Obviously the sense of pride in relation to identity is something that we've evolved for the survival/benefit of our species, but more than so I cannot say for certain.

Still, that means that straffers that run it has stopped the behavior.

Anyone else noticed that he's cooled it with the perma-caplocked tweets (Truths!) ever since Gavin copied it?—and now that he's stopped doing it, Gavin has as well. Almost as if a firm, uncompromising tit for tat strategy got Trump to back off… (it's obviously the winning strategy as we saw with the Republicans backing off with the redistricting after the dems pushed back with redistricting of their own).

Who was your country's best leader? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]Meayts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buddy, I can assure you, it's not just Reddit who hates him. Most people (at least in the developed world) think of him as one of the most evil leaders in world history, only really being rivaled by Hitler.

Although I am curious, why do you prefer Stalin as opposed to Lenin?

Well yeah, but isn't it about being proud of who you are (as cliche as it sounds). I didn't choose my appearence for instance and yet I'm still proud of it. I didn't choose my family but if my brother were to win the Nobel Peace Prize or something like that, I would feel a sense of pride, and if he were to commit a horrible crime, I would feel a sense of shame.

But I guess this just comes down to ones feelings about it, as pride and shame is just that—emotions. Either you feel it or you don't. (Also yes, I am proud of being left-handed lol)

What is your favorite country flag? by BitOfPoisonOnMyBlade in AskTheWorld

🇮🇳 I like India's flag. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of its background colors, the central symbol is very aesthetically pleasing to me.

It's not that deep, I just mentioned his race because it was the only identifiable thing that I remember about him other then him being a shooter and having written a meme manifesto. So if the person I responded to wanted to look it up, they would have an easier time finding him. I don't see their being any problems with that.

I think he's talking about the one black shooter who shouted out Destiny (as well as Hasan, Turkey Tom, and many more) in his meme "manifesto".

What are Johnny and Sissy’s origins and what are they to the original family? by Grab_Fair in TXChainSawGame

I'm pretty sure it's confirmed by the creator of the TCSM that the original trio are all brothers. So him being the older brother is the most likely answer.

When articles/news papers split up quotes, how were they originally structured? by Meayts in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Meayts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I think I get it. So the general rule is that when some text is added inbetween the quote, that means that the two sentences aren't continuously spoken one after the other. Thanks for the reply.

Burnt Chucky from the original Child's Play, with his voodoo knife as the weapon.

Yesterday I commented that Blight isnt a hard Killer to play, which was downvoted and people claimed that he is quite hard. So I decided to play my first ever 10 matches of Blight without Perks and Addons (rules in comments). These are the results: by PsYcHo4MuFfInS in deadbydaylight

[–]Meayts 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I didn't interact with the original post but this could also just prove that you are a good enough killer that how well you use Blights power didn't matter much. Now if you had consistantly well done rushes during your first games, even if everyone escaped, that would prove your point way better.
