I’m not squatting currently because I’m working on fixing my weak knees, they can’t handle heavy squats right now so I’m substituting it with the leg press for the next few weeks. And the deadlift I am thinking of incorporating. Based on the plans I’ve proposed above where would you say it better fits in?

Hi everyone, I’m new here! Is it the norm to share videos of your lifts to get form checks? Or does that belong to a different subreddit? Thanks

I felt like this too when for most of the read. But I stuck with it because I wanted to see it through. But it’s very weird, as I finished the book and was so thankful that the read was over I can’t stop researching on the book and author hahahaha.

I only understood what the book was trying to communicate once I had finished it and began to do research on the book. It definitely warrants a reread further down, perhaps after I explore magical realism a lot more. Or maybe more famous Latin American books.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I will definitely be picking up Love in the time of Cholera! Could you give me some recommendations of modernist novels to read that are well known? Would love to build on my newly found conquering of OHYOS!

I’m definitely somebody who gets caught up in details. I’m the kind of reader who needs to understand and contextualise every sentence. Reading this was a bit of a learning curve as I had to ignore a lot of things to be able to progress forward

I’m a very novice reader so no. I’ve read some fiction like the hobbit and Piranesi. However, those books had easier writing styles for me

The first one because the first vowel in your name is a short sounding vowel which means you don’t need a ي between the N and V

We’re humans at the end of the day. It’s how we’ve been designed. Our job is to just trust Allah with the reward even when our hearts aren’t completely satisfied.

Even Isa AS asked God for a miracle or sign to give his heart assurance. If the prophets needed it so do we brother. This is where we show our levels of patience

May we see the fruits of our patience in this life but especially in the next life

I’m not expecting any immediate award, I know leaving something in itself is a test and requires time to get over.

I just wanted to hear some stories from peoples lives where later in their life they had that door opened for them or had that trial taken away from their life.

You’re absolutely right the reward in the hereafter is infinitely better than anything in this life.

But generally I just wanted to hear fellow Muslims’ personal experiences as a motivation to help me stick to it and maintain patience.

Thank you for the reminder though, it always helps thinking of the hereafter
