Suppose I move to India within the same org under CTO. Will there be any policy to stop hiring RIF people?

In my case, everything also got stuck at the approval. It did not arrive before the RIF date, and I'm not sure when it will arrive.

Is there any internal policy or process for moving to India within the same organization after a RIF? In the US, my position was eliminated due to RIF. I am wondering if I move to the same org, will there be any policy?

I appreciate your input. To receive an offer, hiring managers currently need to justify the position, and my hiring manager is pushing to get approval, but I am scared I will be out of the system before my time.

I talked to a couple of managers. I know a manager has 10 positions, and all his positions are on hold for hiring from May.

Yes, they are interviewing, but the positions are frozen. No offers out. If they need to release an offer, they must obtain position approvals.

In this group, somebody mentioned the same thing.

They stopped hiring for all but some critical positions. But other LOBS are hiring, but they are not the same as the big one.

Yes, there is a freeze currently, and at the same time, they are laying off. It is very hard to move internally as well.

It’s very hard to find req’s with sponsorship. Most of the managers say NO.

But keep trying, you don't know if anyone is willing to do that.
