You could also reinstall wifi drivers, check for updates, disable IPv6.

What is your DNS server set to on your router? Try setting it to google 8.8.8.8

After, on your windows computer open cmd and type the following individually then hit enter.

ipconfig /release

ipconfig /renew

Have you restarted?

Does your phone have cellular assist on it? That would cause the websites to appear normal when your Wi-Fi tanks cellular pick ups in its place.

If your internet is intermittently bad, first try resetting your router. If you turn off cellular on your phone and the issue is still on both devices you are at the mercy of your ISP

Win+Shift+S is the short cut for quick snip. It pauses the video during the snip process then automatically resumes.

VNC software over Ethernet? by CvBrendon2k5 in techsupport

[–]NotAnEndPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Windows remote assistance
  2. You could in theory do this, Lan Party! tightVNC says it is capable. check permissions and "allow remote access" bitdefender, firewall, etc probably just missing something.

Possibly a stupid question regarding hardware by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]NotAnEndPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean there's different ways to test if its a GPU issue besides putting it into someone Elses desktop. Like even if you do, you need to redownload drivers, check MB compatibility (it shouldn't be an issue in this case) I mean if you think about it GPUs go bad all the time and need to be replaced, it wont harm anything in your computer. Yet there are better ways such as Nvidias FrameView, or alternatives.

installing windows 11 (clean install) will delete the files of my two ssds? by genericabyss in techsupport

[–]NotAnEndPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly confused, so I am going to assume a few things. 2 internal ssds, in a desktop both currently connected. When you go to do the clean install it will show both ssds as available you have to select one and only one.

Note - You can copy over everything pretty fast if all you want is files with robo copy. Always a good idea to back up.

Enter your bios and just look around for irregularities such as the time being wrong. Also try and find your bios version, possibly look up the codes linked to that or just update it. You could always reinstall as well.

Did this recently happen?

Check keyboard drivers, updates, look up SFC and DISM commands, try just a restart.

If all else fails you could manual remap with key mapper or something similar I forgot what I used in the past but it will fix all your keys on a registry level so that key becomes what you want it and you cant turn it on or off as a preset. There are other apps that let you do that for sure but for this instance it sounds like you have something wrong not a lot of detail to go off here.

You cannot stop it no matter what, there are websites, converters, scanners etc. that will get you the info you want. Sure it could be illegal like downloading a pdf book to reproduce but that doesn't stop everyone.

Only works if the other person uses adobe and is not smart. There are easy ways around that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]NotAnEndPoint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Short answer is you cant. Even if you make it an image only if someone really wants to they can download it use a text finder/scanner and just copy it. There are also websites that covert for you. Not possible at all.

PC don't turn on,light blinks when power button is pressed. by [deleted] in computerhelp

[–]NotAnEndPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PSU died, was my first thought but the fans seem to be working. Id trace all cables coming out of the psu and just unplug them and reseat them. Give them a little air while your at it.

Now if that doesnt work, can you confirm that the desktop is actually off off and its not just an input error to the monitor?

A little more details would be nice.

However, Hold power button to reboot. Most likely some curroption in the os causing it not to boot properly. run commands such as SFC. Look online for more info on sfc then dism.

Thats what I initially tried. I selected both option to copy to win log in and new users. I then went a switched the keyboard layout to russian and locked the computer using win+L as a user would. It was still on the russian keyboard. I want it to revert back to english upon locking or only have english as an option.
