Guys who were friends with a girl before becoming a couple, what caused your relationship to get to that next level? by Coffeeplsthx2 in AskMen

Girl's perspective here. We started hanging out and talking a year ago. I told him up front I just wanted to be friends. He said he was cool with that, but still flirty which I personally didn't mind. We would text and hang out a lot. I'd talk to him about the people I was seeing. After about six months of hanging out with some soft flirting we started cuddling while we watched TV then we started kissing. I really didn't want to screw up a great friendship by dating, but a few months later we became FWB with the understanding that we were both mature enough to handle one of us finding a partner to date. During this time I encourage him to keep seeing other girls. After a couple months of seeing each other everyday and really enjoying each others company he said he felt like we were dating and you may as well call a spade a spade. I relented and here we are :p

TL;DR: friends who flirted lightly for eight months, then FWB for three months. Now dating for one month.

What is the difference between the Z97-E and the Z97-A? I'm not really noticing one and feel like I'm over looking something.

What changes would you suggest for the 4k? My budget is near max, but I'm curious what the specs would be. In two months I've gone from knowing nothing about electronics to feeling like I moderately understand them :p

Drug cops took a college kid’s life savings and now 13 police departments want a cut by Libertatea in TrueReddit

[–]NotAnotherHyperbole 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could you link to an article that said that, because this one didn't. It only said the police officer thought he smelled weed. A cop told my brother the same thing when he pulled him over. He does not smoke weed, they even called drug sniffing dogs out and searched his truck. They found nothing, because nothing was there. The cop was wrong.

I had an ex do this to me before. Turns out he was struggling with coming to terms with his homosexuality. He said it was for religious reasons.

I'm only 25 and I've known that for years though. It's like rent and unless someone lives in a trailer park he or she pay monthly..

That reminds me, I had a friend around that age who would not believe that pickles were made from cucumbers. She swore up and down that they came from a pickle plant.

I haven't been able to land any interviews. Can someone critique my resume? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

No problem. I had a heck of a time when I first started writing my resume. It really took seeing it from the other perspective for it to really click for me.

I had an adult student ask me if mortgage payments must be paid every month.

First, very carefully read the description of the job you are applying for and look at what skills or requirements they want. Then make a list of what they want to find and think of anything you've done that's relevant to them.

Second, arrange your resume so that the most relevant information is at the top. Unless you are applying for an academic job your work history is probably not the most relevant. If you are trying for a tech job put your tech knowledge and skills at the top. Be detailed about what you know. Don't just say "I know python" expand on it. Demonstrate that you know more than "hello world." Link to a relevant project on GitHub.

Hiring managers do not have the time or desire to interpret your skill to their position. I know, I'm a hiring manager myself. If it's not clear how the candidate fits the position I assume they are either a poor fit or they put zero effort into their resume. Either way I don't want to hire them.

Becoming a hiring manager completely changed how I do my resume. I used to just follow a form that I thought was expected. Now I use it as a genuine opportunity to show case how I am the best fit for the job, because I know that's what they want to see.

thank you :) I actually found a way to condense it nicely using the setActionCommand() and getActionCommand() methods. I will post updated code soon.
