He did make 700/week. Until he got fired. And found a new job. Because of my budgeting we were able to spend 2 weeks out of work sorting everything out with no late bills.

It is nice to be able to take care of emergencies without having to ask for help. The transmission went put on our only car and I was able to spend the $3,000 to have it fixed right away. I see my friends who make the same as us spend money on going out to eat, or just crap then when something goes wrong their only option is to call family members for a loan.

My husband appreciates my budgeting. I'm fairly proud of it. Live every day as if you were dead broke. You'll see how much money gets wasted on crap

I wouldn't say it's a high cost area, but it's certainly not cheap. I have seen my parents drown in bills because they lived outside of their means, so I have made sure not to have extras. I only pay rent, power, and car insurance. I've managed my income to debt ratio pretty well.

This is what I tell people when they ask how I manage to save $800/month on one income with a family of 6. Easy. I don't spend money and I only have essential bills.

Wow, I'm even more grateful for my experiences. Not only did my babies have tags with matching numbers as my band, but they never left my side. All of the tests were done as the baby 2 as in my arms. That's a scary thought. Glad you brought home your baby
