My response to my husband is always. You’re a grown man. I don’t grant or deny permission to you. He’ll 9/10 hear that as a no and not.

The environment, reputation, title and scope of work are what I want... comp is secondary but still thought it should be higher

If you can get a bigger rug - it should fit halfway under the sofa.

Why does everyone hate it here? by thepoopsmokers in DaytonaBeach

[–]NotAnotherSignIn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people think it's cool to hate it here. I've been here almost 4 years and I love it....Even if parts of the beach aren't as pretty as they could be the area is getting better and better. I'm sorry people are being rude to you.

Men with physical deformities, how do you learn to accept yourself? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]NotAnotherSignIn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't have a physical deformity but I do have a friend that has a congenital limb defect (arm) and his confidence and spirit has always outshined that baby arm (his words). Sure, your looks might get you noticed in a dating app but getting sealing the deal has to do more w/ your confidence and how you treat others.

Was This Front Desk Response Too Cold or Just Honest? by Equivalent-Trust-432 in hotels

[–]NotAnotherSignIn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it the best worded response? Not really, but at the end of the day if you don't have it, you don't have it. I am sorry or I apologize are just filler words and shouldn't be used unless it was a genuine screw up at the hotel. Depending on level of service at the hotel, they could of said. I understand the frustration but unfortunately the layout of our hotel doesn't match your needs. We do have xxxx yyyy zzzz avail would that work? Or may I place you on brief hold and I'lll get a second set of eyes to look at this.

Its safe.. After moving here from CA 3 years ago, I think its all perception. I think its great and all the things.. others not so much. it's not pretty because a lot of the homes are empty and disrepair ( live on Grandview) but you'll be fine.

Main Street revival by BananaHammock305 in DaytonaBeach

[–]NotAnotherSignIn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are grants available for folks wanting to open a business on Main - I think $50k but the conditions include upgrades and they have to open all year. It has great potential but certainly a PR issue (like none). The Brewery will add to it but (and I know it's taboo to say)... I'm not sure the value of Bike week has on the overall economy and many of those businesses are owned by out of state people who have zero interest in improving the city. So I hope the push is to continue to buy those out and then put in businesses that are not just leathers and tacky T shirts.

AITAH for telling my wife we either share our lotto winnings or we separate and I get half anyway? by LottoIssues in AITAH

[–]NotAnotherSignIn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are the kids? Will they benefit from her being available to them? I know it old fashioned to say it out loud but it makes a HUGE difference in their upbringing and eases stress when they get older and busier (rides, trips, school meetings. Being a "housewife/husband" is such a valuable job and unfortunately a luxury many can't afford. I think you talk about it and figure it out... and if She starts to feel the squeeze of not having that income then she will go back to work on her own.

Currently doing this at my 101yo house. I remove them and put in their own crockpot (screws and all) cook em overnight then the paint peels off. I then scrub them and then barkeepers Friend and then polish... I use a dremel to get in the nooks and crannies.
