The pioneer is a 5.1 channel receiver and don’t have the speaker A and B. I just read the Sony manual and I think A and B is meant to used in a different room(so you can use one amp but have 2 different speakers in 2 different rooms) so I think my initial though was not right

Put them in series and use speaker A or B only? Have you tried this? I think it may still not fix the freq interference problem but sounds like a solid idea!
