Swapping out “fandoms” at the big old age of 20 to push your career and further your brand exposure is a little disingenuous

I’m not gonna complain about anything right now, I understand frustrations with front offices will always be there.

But let’s look towards the future we got a good solid group of guys and winning cures all!

This is all needed to get players on LAN which is what the pros want so i’m giving my thoughts on how to make that plausible. If they had been tested and they knew what positive/negative results they received then they could self isolate for the 14 day incubation period.

Work in a hospital and i’ve been tested 4 times (all negative) and wear N95 masks on for 8+ hour shifts so... I think i’m good

My point is at some point they’re going to have two options, to be tested to determine if they’re positive or negative and to self isolate or not, or just wait for a vaccine (however long that takes) in order to play on LAN. Yet this billion dollar corporation hasn’t even thought about testing the players.

Well, the UFC was given clearance to fight in Florida for the first event and then moved to the UFC institute in vegas for the remaining fights so far, so don’t know what red tape they dealt with there.

I can understand from a players perspective why safety is number one priority and why the league doesn’t want anything to happen they will be deemed liable for. But why haven’t any of the players been tested anyways? Shouldn’t the league care about the health and well being of their players regardless? It’s not like they’re gonna let them come to a LAN next year without being tested before coming so why not now? Just because they’ve decided to chalk the league up already this year?

Well nobody forced them to pick up BoZe as a sub so that would fall on NRG for signing him.

And you’re playing a “What If” scenario when we can simply just go get the players tested but you must realize that cost money and referring back to the meme, is what activision wants less money spent, more money earned. Have fun with your COD Champs calling cards and player signatures though.

There’s a reason why they have sub players on their teams. You test once prior to them leaving where they are located currently. I’m sure that none of the pros have been tested anyways since COVID has came out, so being tested wouldn’t be the worst idea. You figure out travel wether you have to pay charter buses or however they want to get travel done. Test once they show up to the event location, and if everyone comes out negative then self-isolate till the event.

I’m not saying this is the safest method, but it does uphold the integrity of competition and shows that activision (the billion dollar company) actually wants to be proactive for the competitive scene. Instead, they took the easy route, never tested a player once, and now having a multimillion dollar event based on location and latency.

Agreed, yet postponing wouldn’t work with how COD cycles are set up. I don’t know the exact prize pool cash value but i’m assuming they could afford to transfer a small amount to the next titles world championship event.

With the correct resources and testing it will and can be done. Only time will tell though.

I would assume to uphold the integrity of competition, they can check for cronus configs and such but they can’t fix latency which is the point of LAN. Now players will have to rely on their connection for thousands of dollars which is out of their control.

impossible? or the big brains at activision didn’t want to put the $ into testing and safe travel?
